Joyce Summers from 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer'
Winifred Burkle from 'Angel'

I think there are more, but these are the first ones that come to mind. I cried when they both died (good work Joss!)

The actual death wasn't all that sad, but I get a little teary-eyed whenever I watch Tamara and Shannon's funeral on Caprica. *sniffle*
Of course, Tamara came back as an ass-kicking avatar in V-world, but that didn't diminish the sadness of she and her mom's traditional Tauron funeral.

Mark Greene in ER!

He was just such an amazing guy! He finally found happiness with his wife and two daughters when his brain tumor came back and he knew he was going to die. He saved so many people but no one could save him. I cried my eyes out, and I still do when I hear 'Somewhere over the rainbow'
