I had the same problem. Just casually say "you do realize i like you mais than a friend, right?" but make sure you flirt with him first, just don't overdo it. If your his best friend it will be pretty easy to say thing like, I like your shirt. or. you smell nice do you wear cologne? Stuff like that. :)-( Good Luck
Here's what I would do, and I'm not sure if it's good conselhos or not, but here goes:
Hedge around at complimenting him on how sweet and cute he is, maybe saying something like, "Oh, I can't understand why mais girls don't like you. You're so nice!" If you're uncomfortable about telling him you like him, don't try unless you think you can do it without stuttering and sounding like a lunatic. But always remember- don't say you don't like him, even if you get scared and can't admit that you do.
Like I said, I don't know if it's good conselhos or not, but this is what I've done in the past.
