Have you ever liked a character through another character? (Or disliked?)

Meaning, have you ever liked a character mais than you normally would have because of how they worked with another character you really like or relate to?

Cos that happens to me on multiple occasions, but mais for the positive.

I don't really like one mais than the other, but the dynamic between the two is what turns them from good characters to excellent ones

OMG this right here is literally the reason I hated all of my least favorites. I literally just made up better reasons to hate them as I went along lmao!
That's why I didn't like Zuko for the longest time. And why I didn't like a good chunk of the Once characters. Like the mais they hurt my faves the less I liked them.

The funny thing is, the reason I started to like Zuko was because he had numerous opportunities to like kill Azula but he didn't do it. And also because I realized that he felt bad for Azula after defeating her and I was like, eh he's a pretty good fellow.

I don't do this as much though anymore. I used to hate literally every character my favorito hated but I kind of just stopped; for example Regina and Ivy are not friends. But I still like her because I still like villains even though Regina isn't one of them anymore. Same with back in season 4 when Cruella, Maleficent, and Ursula tried to straight up murder Regina. I still liked them tho. In other words, Regina's the reason why I don't hate every character my favoritos hate. Granted Regina looked at literally all of the above characters and was kinda like ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ "maybe if I'm nice to them, they'll turn good like me." Lmao.
In other words Regina also sympathizes with villains.

^^^ That right there is why I was like; ya know what, he's okay. because he didn't throw her off of the cliff. In fact he was basically like "??? wat?" when she asked him if he was going to.

Yeah, there are quite a few cases. Mainly, because of feelings and actions they display towards other Characters (Being caring, forming a rivalry, offering guidance etc). Facts like these have made me appreciate a Character mais than I normally would indeed. One example is geléia, geleia Kuradoberi from Guilty Gear. I already liked her enough actually but going through her Episode in Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2 and seeing the bond she developed with Jack-O, one of my favorites, made me sure about having geléia, geleia being one as well. While she might have appeared to be serving only her own interests, the way she acted as a Mentor to Jack-O and somewhat influenced her views on Life and the World was truly admirable !!!!

Not really for me. It's mais like. Regardless of how excellent some character dynamic is with another character. If I don't like said character, I don't like said character. And I don't dislike through another character either. I dislike/like because I dislike/like said character and only because of that.
