What do you think it means?

I complimented the shoes of a guy I like. He said thank you but after that dia he never wore them again. It's been about a mês and a half and now I don't think it's coincidental. He knows I like him so idk what message he is trying to send. But One time he was staring at me and when I caught him, he just kept looking with this blank expression untl I looked away. And anytime he catches me staring, he will keep looking too until I look away. We bearly talk and when we do it's when he asks to borrow stuff from me. And one time when I let him borrow something, he said " you're the best" which you wouldn't say to someone you know who likes you unless you we're trying to turn them on, right? So I'm just getting a bunch of mixed signals. What do you think this means?

Yeah... people who don't like me like that say "you're the best" to me sometimes. It's actually kind of annoying. xD

Now, don't get me wrong - but if he liked you, wouldn't he have done something once he found out you liked him... Maybe he just wants to be friends with you and that's why he asks you to borrow stuff and told you you're the best...So,I guess you can try asking him to come hang out with you and your friends seguinte time?

Yeah, it's best to be friends first, or so I've heard. So even if they don't end up liking you, you can still be friends, which isn't a bad thing.
