Then don't draw or do art to for it too be good, just do it for fun, i suck at painting yet i still do it because i like it.

okay now just tell her that you dont need the expensive stuff, and all artist start out with a basic pencil and paper. Even if you don't plan on drawing or doing art related things, she still should understand.

My mom is like that too, i suck at most art but she says i'm amazing? like no mom i think your confused.

Most mothers are like that. Mine keeps telling me I'm attractive but I look like a sack of shit.

*cough cough* your art set.... Gimme

But to stop your mom from yelling and saying you can draw, draw a family portrait or just draw her, and you can either sure you fall or try really hard then post it on her face book (or other website) and make sure you put your age so people don't mistake it for someone else's . That should work.

Well, you can try to draw. Even if you start out using stick figures. I mean if you atleast try, you might become good at it. You don't even have to use any of the art stuff for just trying to draw something. You could paint something. Practice makes perfect, that's only if you set your mind to it though. I wouldn't try to hurt your cusions feelings por telling him you don't want it. I mean he thought of you, that's what counts.

Take a picture of what you want to draw, cut out the actual person/object, and trace around it with a pen or pencil. Fill in as you wish.

Anyone can draw. Actually no, everyone can draw. She's clearly exaggerating to get her point across. She can draw, but I believe she feels insecure.

If that's so, tell her, not me. That problem is the reason she asked the question.
