Why all you people hate Rap so much?

I don't hate ALL rap, just most of it.

It's just, rap is pretty disgusting. Most rappers talk about "hoes" and "bitches" and "I be hittin all the spots you didn't even know was there. You the fuckin best, the best I ever had." It's very offensive and degrading. "I get mais bunda than a toilet seat." That's just ewww!

Plus, a lot of people are only fãs of rap for the beat (cause it's fun to dance to), not for the actual song itself. The beat is made por a synthesizer, not por the artist (which is why fãs of rock tend to not like it, since rock artists play their own instruments). Rap is repetitive as well. It's the same thing over and over and over (Especially that annoying song "you're a jerk"). Of course, other genres are like that as well *coughcoughpokerface*, but rap just tends to do it the most and exemplify it. "We at the hotel, motel, Holiday Inn." He repeats it about 30 times. It gets old verrry quick.

Also, everything is autotune. How do I REALLY know what the real artist's voice sounds like when their voice is so edited and overproduced?

Like I said, I don't hate ALL rap. There are a few rappers that have meaningful lyrics, but most don't. Most just talk about all the cars they have, and how they're rich, and all the girls they sleep with "you spin my head right round, right round, when you go down.""She lick me like a lollipop." Both those songs are gross! I don't wanna hear about these guys' blowjobs. Plus, it's tainting Americas youth. They're growing up thinking it's cool and socially acceptable to call women "sluts" and "bitches."

Sorry to be blunt, but it's the truth.

1. The only subjects in rap are sex,the club,killing people,fights,money,drugs,girls (or "shawties"),alchohol, and hookers

2.Rap is very hard to understand. Every rapper talks like "Mah shawtie in da club" and words like that that are very hard to understand.

3. 70% of the average rap song has cussing or sex talk in it

4.It's just so damn annoying, not to mention it's hideous rise in pop culture

5. Most rappers have terrible voices.

6. the background música sounds horrible

7.Rappers are so full of themselves

8. The música is perverted, like "Shawty got ass" or "She got big boobs and nice ass" or "Shawty got big boobs and bunda and I wanna f**k her"

9.It has no meaning, it's just all some perverted freaks who drink alot and want an exquisite lifestyle (or what rappers refer to as "bling"). The música is pointless and has no real meaning.

10.They try to invent new dance moves for "da club" but do a horrible job and doing the moves themselves, showing us that they didn't coreograph them at all, although they get all the credit.

11.It has a racial limit; only african americans and hispanics look "cool" (what I think is hideous" and "white" ppl don't.

12. They're so damn stupid, that they think that they can get whatever they want (beautiful women,money,alchohol,ect.)

13.They are terrible role modelos for kids. (judging women por the size of their tits,drinking,no college degree,ect), and yet they think that they can relate to real ppl.

14.Their clothing style is horrible!

15.Rap is anti-feminist (boobs,ass,hookers,ect.)

the only rap I like is 30H!3, which isn't even rap at all.
Rock will always dominate the crappy genre of rap!

it's just not my style. I can't dance to it or sing along, heck, I can't even understand most of it. The beat seems to dominate the song too much too. not sure 'bout everyone else, but that's why I don't like it. (besides, retards shouldn't attempt poetry. hehe. Retards Attempting Poetry. still like that saying, no offence to anybody who does the rap thing)

Its weird and piontless. And some raps are disturbing. I think the're just looking for an exuse to use a bunch of useless curse words.

The words like, " Shawty and you a jerk" and all that its weird.

I just don't like it. I'm sorry, but I don't think there's any reason for it.
The only rap song I like is Low, por Flo-Rida because it's fun to dance to xD

I think that most people likes the música that has a meaning for them, maybe a song that reminds you the girl or the guy you loves, the good times with your friends, a good show, concerto or tv show, or good old family memories, not sure. Rap doesn't tell me nothing, so, I don't like it, but I don't hate it..maybe it pops a bad memory I don't remember consciously, who knows.

There's so many reasons. The fact that none of it seems original is what gets me the most. Like "You spin my head right round" por Flo Rider is pretty much the 80's song "You spin me round (like a record)" except a worse remix and it's still a massive hit! Oh and don't get me started on that awful remix of Blue (da ba dee da ba die) that's come out. Originality is probably my number 1 problem with it. I do like a song with a good beat but that's about it. You definitely don't like rap música for the meaningful lyrics or the talent of the artists. The only reason I can think you would like it is for the beat which just makes it inferior to other styles.

I know this is an old post but I'll still add my two cents. It's obvious that none of you listen to any rap besides most of what gets played on the radio. Even judging por thatalone there's mais out there. The album Like Water for Choclate por Common that came out in the early 200s didn't degrade women, didn't focus on selling drugs nor speak of it in the positive, didn't glamorize killing nor was it focused on materialistic gains, the same can be said of his album Be. Then there's Little Brother a hip hopgroup from North Carolina and yes they're college graduates to the person who said rapers aren't, there música is quite positive and focuss on dia to life overall, the same can be said about A Tribe Called Quest, Mos Def. You also have hip hop artist like Dialated Peoples, you have MF Doom, Lupe Fiasco. Tje fact is there's plenty of hip hop out there that isn't focused on the negative it's just that the negative stuff is what sells for some reason. Don't judge a genre of música based on its mainstream "artists" if I did that I'd assume all punk was bs pop música crap like Avril Lavigne or Green Day.If I paid attention to nothing but the mainstream in música I wouldn't know great stuff like The Octopus Project or The Bird and the Bee.

i used to amor rap música but i dont listen to it that much any more.... but my all time favorito rapper is tupac and thats only cause i find his rapping like poesia and lil wayne because he seriouly got rhymes.... i think eminem can clown on anyody hes a great rapper....

Most of it doesnt take talent. Talking really fast about clubes and hoes and sex and all that crap doesnt seem like a skill to me. I mean they can make sooo much money for it and i can talk faster than them and make it so they actually understand what Im saying! I guess we all have our own opinions..and just most of it not all of it.

Rap is cool not all but some rap ppl dont like cuz they get offended por booty's rock'n everywhere and some ppl dont like slang terms or sex rap but most of the rap i like is really cool but some others may not like my bestfriend doesnt like rap all that much she likes metal and rock and i do to but i wouldnt get mad at her 4 it not every1 is gonna like the exact same thing i like some of her fave songs she likes some of mine but some she hates and im cool with that :)
