Don't worry, high school’s awesome! It's alright to be nervous, I remember that I was pretty freaked out about my first dia too. I'll be a Senior this year, so I'll give ya some of the basics.
- Get a map of the school to help you find your classes, it helps prevent you from getting lost.
- Be careful about older students, such as Juniors and Seniors, because some like to joke around with the new Freshman. If you need to ask a pergunta it might be better to go to a teacher.
- Don't stop in the middle of the hallways, because the hallways are like a traffic geléia, geleia on the high way. People accidentally bump into each other ALL THE TIME. And don't run. That’s an obvious rule, but seriously. Don't run. That's just dangerous. x3
- Wear something comfortable for you. If you have to wear a uniform, like I do, follow the basic guidelines for the uniform, but still be comfortable. At my school you're supposed to tuck in your shirt, but most students, including me, don't. If you're going to public school, just wear something that'll make you comfortable and fits your personality. But no flip flops. Those things are deadly.
- I use a pocket binder to help keep track of all my papers and worksheets from classes. I amor that thing. It really helps keep you organized.
- Get plenty of sleep. It sucks to be tired in class.
- Keep your cell phone in your locker. There’s a lot of crap that goes along with that rule, so seriously. Keep it in the locker. x3
- If you're buying lunch, make sure you have plenty of money. In some schools, comida can be pretty pricy. Just to play safe, don't go overboard on the food. You can probably go back for mais if you need it.
- Stay on board with your school work. Always check to make sure whether or not you have a homework assignment, or an upcoming test or quiz. It REALLY sucks to fall behind in your work or grades, because it might take you awhile to catch up.
- Don't be afraid to see your teacher if you need help with something. That's what they're there for, and they're always willing to help! :)
- Plenty of pens, pencils, and notebooks are a MUST.
- Unless your teacher tells you not to, always bring your textbooks to class.
- Don't worry about having glue, scissors, crayons, etc. You don't do arts and crafts in high school. If you're taking an art class, the art teacher should provide all the supplies you need.
- I amor having a locker! Your locker is your own private spot away from home. Go crazy with it! Put up pictures, notes, anything. Just don't damage the locker, or you'll have to pay the school a fine. And use magnets, NOT TAPE.
- cadastrar-se stuff! High school offers so many activities, it’s a great way to make friends and get involved. It also looks good on college applications.
- Most of all, just relax. Your fellow students are in the same situation and a lot of them are probably nervous as well. Just chill out, be yourself, and HAVE FUN! :)

Calm down. Everyone has been through this or is going to go through this. It's normal to feel anxious about it, just go and be yourself. Once you get the first dia out of the way it'll hopefully be better.(:

I've been out of school for 2 years now, I wish I could go back to it. Best years so far even if it was difficult at times.

Chill xD High school is sort of like a bigger version of Middle School.

I guarantee you nearly every Freshman will be nervous about their first day.

Also, it's fun :D

I'm a sophomore and I've already experienced my first dia of high school last year, it was a piece of cake, sure I got lost, but so did every other Freshman. Funny thing is, I've been in my school a ano now and I STILL get lost. LOL. People are like "Umm.. dude.. your class is that way remember?" I'm like... oh yeah.. thanks.. >.>

Relax, high school is not something to freak out over. Just be yourself, be open to new possibilites, and follow the rules. You'll survive.

As for the calming you down, I can't. It's natural to freak over the first dia of school; it's anxiety. It'll pass.
