Not neccessarily, I think it depends on the person.

That's how I became a writer: Studying my favorito authors' works and meshing their composição literária styles together to create my own. Not everyone works that way, though.

They don't HAVE to be. If leitura helps you come up with techniques or ideas, then sure. But some get techniques and ideas from their own mind.

I think it helps. I personally am an avid reader and I think it helps with my writing. But I don't think in order to be a writer you must be a reader.

In general it depends on the person but sometimes they are interchangeable. personally i was a bigger writer than reader for a long time in a matter fact it wasn't till the last ano and a half or so that i actually began leitura committedly i've read mais than ever believed possible for me i read Dracula, the invisible man, the legend of sleepy hollow, A series of unfortunate events the austere academy and persiana, obturador island in the last 3 months. That may not sound big to a lot of you but it was huge for me. Ordinarily something thick like Dracula would take me a mês but it took me just a few weeks. leitura does help at times and is great to help you look at other composição literária styles. and can give you inspiration as well i got an idea from the invisible man that i thought was a good idea

Yes, I think it's necessary. I haven't met or even heard of a writer that doesn't read anyway.
