Ideas anyone?

I NEED HELP I already made an answer for this but not enough people responded my charecter Is seven, the book jumps time, and I really need Ideas. The story is her meeting a ghost, and her being friends with him throughout her life. I have plans for her teen years, BUT I need Ideas for her within a ano or two. PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Ideas already used (Or suggested) are
Car crashes
Bullying and
Sickness


So ya...PLEASE HELP ME!!

Have you ever thought of the girl and ghost boy teaming up to solve a kidnapping/runaway case? She could of overheard her parents talking about it or something and the police think that the missing kid is dead. She then asks the boy ghost if he can sense if that is true or not! Which leads to them conducting their own investigaton and her struggles to help find a lost child:)
I just watched Criminal Minds and that has given me this crazy idea... hope this helps you, and good luck!
