You're so lucky you get to vacation out of the country. The farthest I've gone from home was Florida. But if you're going alone, I suggest you stay close to your country, so that if something bad happens back at home, it won't take long to get there again.
Anyway, France is an amazing place.
I'd also recommend going to Prague, Czech Republic. It's a really beautiful and old-fashioned place. I LOVE it!
