When/How did you become a mangá fan?

I read part of a mangá series about time traveling that I found in the school biblioteca in the 3rd grade but I didn't really get into it since it kinda sucked and I was mais into regular books xDD
However, I believe I was in the 4th or 5th grade, 2 older girls started bringing some mangá to school. I kept searching libraries in order to get the seguinte volumes but I was never able to get a hold of them xDD I eventually gave up searching until a couple months later when I found out that it was possible to read mangá online. *faaaails*
I kept leitura some mangá but didn't become a full on closet otaku until probably the 7th grade after leitura fruits basket xDD, before then I was still really into leitura regular books mais so I only acknowledged being obsessed with those *cough*harrypotter*cough*. Most of my computer time would be spent on onemanga.com though xDD

Nowadays (ashamed to say it) I read mais mangá than "regular books" xDDD;

I have been drawing ever since I could pick up a pencil and one dia I saw a image from a mangá and started drawing like that, I then decided to investigate and ended up leitura manga, Since then I am just in amor with mangá and anime. Also. mangá is pretty much all I draw now lol

I first got into mangá when I saw a few episodes of the Bleach anime, I decided to look up mais episodes and discovered that it was originally a mangá and that the mangá was way further into the story then the anime. So i looked up where to read mangá online and went to onemanga.com (this was when it still hosted manga).

Before that I didn't even know mangá existed, but once I started to read Bleach I very quickly got into a lot of other mangá and just continued on from there.

I think the segundo mangá I ever read after Bleach was either Death Note, FMA or Fruits Basket

I got into mangá when I found one at my library. I did not know it was a manga, I didn't even know what mangá was back then. I thought it looked interesting and checked it out. Needless to say that it got my family and I (well most of my family) into manga.

The mangá was Mamotte Lollipop vol 1.

At the dentist one day,
I found that their was a Shounen Jump magazine
And read it ...

Or one tme at the library,
I found out about Card Captor Sakura...
Thought it was pretty and read it

when i found a fruits basket book at my biblioteca and from then on i have loved mangá

I became a fã of animê since I was 6. Then I didn't watch them for like 6 years and started 2 years ago. I became a mangá fã this year. Since then I read so many mangas on Mangafox.com , Mangareader.com and Mangahere.com (<-- the best for)

i became a mangá fã when one dia i was like soo bored and decided to procurar for some pics on the net for my computer when i found a picture of Alice from coração No Kuni No Alice i clicked on it and it instantly took me to mangareader.com and since then i became a mangá fã (this happened like 2 years ago)

i was watching animê but i can watch tv on week day. stupid rule my parents made up to make me study. so i started to read mangá online at first. and then i started buying them. im up to 23^^ but i have read like 90 lolz

I become mangá fan.. because my friend she always talk about mangá ,, she tell me I should read manga.. when I read mangá I amor it and I become mangá fã ^^

I bcme a mangá fã recently....after watchin maid sama animê series...i gt curious n wantd 2 knw more...so it tuk me 2 mangareader.com...n since then m hookd....

A few weeks after I saw Meitantei Conan's english dub Case Closed I was taken to Borders and just ran into the mangá section and found it..and then I got mangá after manga.

I became a mangá fã indirectly from my college roommate and animê club (1997). He was actually into DC Comics, and I couldn't quite get into them. But I decided to try mangá (since I knew what animê was from my club) instead (and estrela Trek comics). Picked up individual comic issues (not collected books) of Ranma 1/2, which was my favorito anime. mangá has always taken a back assento to my interest in anime, but its always been there in different forms.

On camp one dia a friend of mine who I knew was a mangá fã and loved to draw, tried to teach me to draw. That same night at camp we had "anime night" where everyone gets together and watches anime. That was how i got initially interested. This led me to find out that one of my best friends read manga, then another of my friends, then another. They all went, "read this- read that!" So I just started reading. We own our school biblioteca mangá section! We can even get the librarians to buy a book if we want to read it.
