D-r Chase is a surgeon, where the cardiologist did come from?

When the show first started, you find out they all specialize in a certain area of medicine. Chase's was Cardiology, Foreman was Neurology, Cameron was Immunology. House needed fellows with backgrounds in different disciplins so he could bounce ideas of them
Mybeit's my mistake, but i just remember in the first season House mentioned, Chase is a an intensive care specialist, which is far closer being a surgeon, than a cardiologist. In addition he has never shown any competences of cardiology. I don't know how familiar are with the medicine, but I'm going to graduate in an ano from medical university, so it's pretty unlikely someone as young as Chase to have 3 specilities :).That's it, I was talking from personal experience, and i'm not trying to argue with anybody!
Im sure it is unlikely that he is compotent in all three, Im just stating that I also remember them stating he was a cardiologist. If you rewatch the past episodes , you will see that Chase was very compotent when it came coração issues concerning the patients.
