So...I begin this por saying that I am an adult fã of Ariel. Impacted por The Little Mermaid from the age of 9, I am an adult collector, and I currently have Ariel ALL OVER my adult bedroom.

I commend author Liz Braswell on her "nods" to the elements found in the original 1989 film that is known world over. Some passages of the book she has written made sense to me, while other parts did not. *Eric getting a tattoo was not one of my stand-out favorito moments, and it jarred with all of the proceeding characterization given to him por the author*

I suppose, for those who didn't amor Ariel's original personality--- her impulsiveness, wit, and curiosity--- "seeing Ariel now 'reigned in' por ponderous adult responsibilities" provides a dimension that they'll appreciate more. Ariel spends most of the entirety of this book "as queen of Atlantica." There. No mais spoilers. I, whose childhood was erected in much the same repressed household that Ariel's character "sprouted from," doesn't feel like "more was added to the character of Ariel" por having the mermaid "stripped of her dreams"--- and "saddled with guilt." This book focuses heavily on an Ariel who "is riddled with guilt for having wanted to be a human." leitura it, makes me wonder how this Ariel is really the same as the one in the 1989 film? If the 1989 film was about a strict parent (Triton) "relaxing his stranglehold on young adulthood," then this book really is about "a psychologically damaged adult mermaid" trying to "rectify problems that she did not, herself, create, but was merely 'a pawn' in, in the first place."
I don't understand the need for feminist trappings in this book, but like every disney movie or disney book these days, here the feminism is sprinkled heavily in as a confeitaria, produtos de confeitaria treat--- meant "to liven up the contents of whatever was already sweet” and "make it palatable for the newest consumers." Ariel was already a feminist character in 1989. Here in 2021, some 36 years later, she still causes a stir. There is no real need for "more feminist flourishes" on her character. Within this book, there is some lingering purulent odor, almost catering to the exact audience who has all these years "wished for Ariel to be punished" because she dared to leave the nest, and didn't want to be a mermaid in the first place.

Funnily enough, this version of Ariel LOVES her duality, and she prefers being a mermaid OVER being a human for much of the book. Talk about a 180 degree flip in identity issues. I found myself wondering how Howard Ashman would take all of this…

That being said, most of the nearly 500 pages of this book consist of very melancholy proceedings, not much helped por the villain's presence. As to Ursula's "goings on," this occurs only midway through the book. We only grasp how much of "a real presence and villainous" Ursula is, during the last third of the book. ( I suppose, I wish disney had clued Liz Braswell in on the "true reason Ursula got exiled por Triton"--- which would have made for a far better story overall--- hence, why I picked this book up in the first place! But alas. No true reason is revealed for why Ursula originally got ostracized. Bdumptsss).
Braswell is good at moving the audience to pity over the plight of Ariel's "lost voice, her lost father, and her lost future with Eric." Braswell also is good at moving us to pity over the loss of Eric's "awareness" and "his agency." This premise of this book is that Eric "was stripped of his agency" just as Ariel "was stripped of her voice." This made for rather funereal proceedings as it were.
I am not exactly thrilled after leitura this book, and neither am I totally disappointed. The "whiff" I got, along with Max, was that "nothing really new could happen for Atlantica or Eric's Kingdom even if Ursula won the game of dupes, and ruled over all." This was a let-down for me, because honestly, I was looking for why Ursula became so hell bent on revenge in situ.
Should you read this book as an Ursula fan? As an Ariel fan? As a fã of neither one? Sure! It won't hurt to read it. But would I recommend this as something that should find a major place on your bookshelf at home? Nope. I think it's an "okay riff" on the musical piece that already exists. This entry into the plethora of The Little Mermaid books neither improves nor diminishes the original characters, and it certainly doesn't improve on the original context and plot. I became frustrated that the care-free aspect was very much annihilated. The original feel of Ariel being synonymous with "fun" and "exploration" was lost to me, until the very last pages.
Okay this took quite a while. I got lost in different chinese zodiac -meanings websites some time atrás and I started worder what characters princesses would be. I personally don't believe horoscopes.
This goes quite backwards as we don't know which ano princesses are born. Anyway these are the results. There was no dragon or pig so put their descriptions at the end in case someone's interest.

This is just my opinion. I don't mean to offend anyone with it, and I'm mais than open to thoughts, comments, and suggestions.

1. Minnie Mouse: She does portray a princess, queen, duchess, lady, pretty much everything from time-to-time, but she's also like the queen of ALL things Disney, so I don't think she needs to be a disney Princess. And the Mickey stories aren't consistent with each other like DP ones. Each movie/TV series/special has its own plot, setting, and character development, so it'd be hard to place who exactly Minnie is. There's really no strict canon, and she already gets enough...

I'm just a mere newbie here, but having read several artigos on here, I really wanted to write one of my own (hope it looks ok, and I haven't made a mess of it!)

Good thing this is sit on my bunda dia (otherwise known as Sunday), otherwise I wouldn't have had all dia to write this up.

I hope I've explained my rankings well enough.

10) Aurora

What is there to say about Aurora? I figure she must be the least fav of a lot of people, but not because she's incredibly unlikable. I feel harsh saying that she's boring, but she is just your stereotypical fairy tale princess. She's pretty, has a pretty voice,...

6 - cinderela and Charming

7 - Belle and Beast

8 - Naveen and Tiana

9 - Snow White and the Prince

10 - Pocahontas and John Smith

Pocahontas and John Smith

Probably Disney's most angsty couple, seeing as the build up of their relationship starts with one of them pointing a loaded gun at the other intending to shoot without a segundo thought and being interrupted por nothing other than the overwhelming mindblowing attractiveness. And that's...

Gaston’s Curse

They soon learn the beast is Gaston as he was transformed into a beast as he fell. Unlike Beast, he has no redemption and the only option is to kill him.

This was por far the easiest to do and I bet you can guess who #1 is. Don't expect to see Lucy Liu because she's too old.

5.Ashley Argota
I don't really think she can play Mulan, I just put her hear because I needed someone to fill the #5 spot. She doesn't look all that Asian and I don't think she'd look good with short hair.

4.Kristin Kreuk
Well she's only half Asian but I think could be a subplot for the movie. Kristin certainly has the atuação ability to play a strong and vulnerable character. I liked Smalleville, it was a pretty cool show.

3.Breanda Song

20. cinderela - low ponytail

I honestly dislike this hair style a lot. It looks so plastic. Actually none of Cinderella's hair styles is particularly nice. I can't believe this made it to the topo, início 20.

I've always wanted to make a list of disney princess look alikes so why not use real life royals? Here are a few that I think resemble the disney princesses. These are my opinion so feel free to say if you agree or not. Thanks. Also, it was rather difficult finding royals that looked like every princess

Princess Jasmine
Princess Amira of Saudi Arabia

Princess Amira looks so much like Jasmine. They are very similar in their facial proportions and shapes. I amor how dark her eyes are and her long lashes look like Jasmine's. Also her hair, the shimmering black long hair mirrors...

Beast dies but is turned back into a human
Beast dies but is turned back into a human
I amor how in some filmes that disney does features someone dying it kinda makes the story of the film somehow sad and emotional. So here are my topo, início 4 favourite almost death scenes. SPOILERS AHEAD

# 4Snow White getting poisoned with the poison apple: This has to be the weirdest scene I have seen in a disney movie I mean getting poisoned por an maçã, apple how stupid is that and I thought she died and went to heaven as the castelo was like in the skies.

#3 John Smith getting shot por Radcliff: This one I was so shocked when I seen this as it was so emotional and very sad. I like how John asks Pocahontas...

A/N: So this idea randomly popped into my head and I think I may even have a storyline to go with it! So Im pretty happy about that, so yeah! This is basically a story of Eugene's life in the orphanage, please review and give your opinions on this story.
And after you read this one maybe go read some of my other "Tangled" fics? Please? This is kinda sad, but don't worry we all know how it ends! And I may also be putting some incerpts from Eugene's present life in here so just keep on checking back!
Oh and I just watched the movie "Fireproof" Ahhh so inspirational!

Dweeb started making these countdown, but she never made one with Mulan's outfits, so I decided to make one since in honor of mulan month.

During the countdown, people noticed that, even if they don't put mulan high on their best dressed list, all of her outfits are pretty and she has nice clothes in general.

There are 9 outfits that mulan wore, and I separated them in 3 categories:

____________________________________________________

Casual clothes
Or lets call it what it really is- underwear. People don't really like those outfits because they are simple, not very pretty and they weren't worn...

Disclaimer: I don’t find any of the princesses stupid, sure, some of them may be naive and reckless, but not stupid and you know this is true, because I always tell the true, in like all 30% percent of the cases.

Also, I am going to estimate their IQ, in case you don’t know

Below 90 is under average, but I doubt that any of the princesses has that low IQ
90-110 average
110-130 above average
130- considered incredibly smart
150 and more- genius

9.Aurora

9. Evil Queen, Once again something related to Snow White is in last place, but for once that's a good thing.

8. Maleficent, as beautiful as she is on the outside, she is only a devil inside. I guess the reason why she didn't get eliminated first was because she was green.

7. Gaston, considered the most attractive male villain, but some consider him either too buff or too hairy.

6. Lady Tremaine, some find her to be quite lovely for her age, others see her as a mean, ugly hag.

5. Dr. Facilier, he's just considered to be a normal looking guy. Some say he's good looking, others don't.

10.The Beginning of Ariel's Beginning
I found the very first few minutos of this movie to be magical. It was great to dive back into Atlantica and see where it all began.

9.Ariel Listens to música Again for the First Time
After queen Athena's death, Triton banned all música in the city of Atlantica. With all the gloominess that has settled upon Atlantica, it was amazing to see música thrive once again (even if it was a secret).

8.Queen Athena Sings
This is the first time we see queen Athena. It's so magical because I think we all wondered what Ariel's mother would be like. I don't know...

Mulan is strong willed and full of spirit. Disguising herself as a male soldier to protect her Father, she sets out on a great journey of self discovery and of knowledge. Meeting many interesting characters along the way, she falls for her Captain, Li Shang. Later on they discover she is a woman, but she surprises them all por making a comeback and defeating the Hun army in the end. The ending to her story is kind of a let down. Although Shang does follow her home, there’s no sense of passion between them. No romantic kiss or riding off into the sunset for these two. Voters didn’t...

10. Grumpy
Grumpy starts our topo, início 10 character list. He's the Snow White dwarf that went mais far in the countdown (something that I already expected). Grumpy is one of the most memorable characters from Snow White and the only one that doesn't act dumb through the movie, but people do sympathize with him. In fact, grumpy characters like him and Merryweather made...
