on the Sixth dia of Princess Walt disney gave to me
Six sisters singing
five cursed friends,
four braiding girls
three fairy spells
two lucky pals
and the wisdom of an old tree.
Today is a special dia in Germany. It is Nicolaus day, the dia on which children (and adults with a sweet tooth) put out their shoes in the evening and find it filled with sweets in the morning. So, in this sense, happy Nicolaus dia for everyone!
The Princess which I picked for the June is Ariel. I mean, she just had to present the summer, right?
As you can see the holiday I picked is midsummer. The most famous midsummer celebration is naturally the Swedish one, which is why I referenced it here and in the Icon
but it is actually celebrated all over Scandinavia and a number of European countries one way or another. The celebrations differ, but often is a bonfire involved, so I added one to the design of the calendar. And since The Little Mermaid is an invention por a Danish writer, I felt that Ariel would be perfect for this month. The wallpaper version is now available in the image section.
There were surprisingly many options for an Ariel in gold, but I eventually settled for her mermaid form:
And naturally did also a name-only version for you.
The goddess was a hard pick in this case. Not too long atrás she would have naturally replaced Poseidon/Neptun, but I felt that Moana would be an even better fit since she actually has control over the ocean, while Ariel's most powerful feature is her voice. I kind of considered her for Hera/Juno the goddess of motherhood, since she is the one princess who is semi-officially a mother, but, well, otherwise she has nothing in common with this particular goddess. So I guess she kind of replaces Hera/Juno, but mais as the goddess of music, tolerance and curiousity.
And finally the banner. I felt that this particular quote describes Ariel best, even better than "Part of your world.
And that's for today...the seguinte artigo will most likely take a little bit longer because there is a LOT to write and explain for that one, plus, there is also the Dress-up Doll contest to take care of. Have fun, and thanks to everyone who encouraged me. I am glad that you enjoy my little bag of goodies.
