Assuming Stefan gets his act together and has the courage to face what he has done, deal with his demons, and find his humanity; I think that Elena will probably end up with Stefan. I REALLY hope she doesn't (I'm for Damon and Elena), but I would not be the least bit surprised if she ends up with Stefan.
I also wouldn't be too surprised if Damon died saving Elena's life. That would be so tragic, but so beautiful--not that I want it to end that way.

In the books she ends up with Stephen but i hope the show wont end that way, I want her to end up with Damon, she said in 3x22 "when i'm with him it consumes me" and in the flashback when they first met he said " you want a amor that consumes you. You want passion and adventure and even a little danger" which is what they have together! :)
