In Entertainment Weekly's Season Finale Awards, DE won every category they were nominated in; 'Best Romantic Cliffhanger', Best Kiss, topo, início Tissue Moment, Most Rewound Moment.

When vampire-diaries.net fãs voted for their topo, início 5 episodes of Season 2, four of the episodes were heavy on the DE-epicness: (5)'Rose', (4)'The Return', (3) 'Masquerade', (2)'The Sun Also Rises', and (1)'As I Lay Dying'.

Before Season 2 drew to a close, it had not been particularly DE (or indeed, amor triangle) friendly. No fandom wants to see a ship they've loved, supported and fought for replaced.
For us, the departure of Elena could well mean beijar the hopes of a happy ending for our ship goodbye forever. But it could also mean something else: the potential for a new romance - whether that be a hook-up or mais - for Bamon.
The animosity between DE fãs and Bamon fãs has been a long-standing one. In some cases, I would argue that the biggest ship war has been with Bamon, not Stelena. DE and Bamon fãs simply do not get along due to their totally conflicting perspectives and understanding of the characters....
