It had been several weeks and Becca had noticed several things about this whole ordeal. One was that Mercy and Kaldur had become a couple. segundo was that Alessia and Connor were closer than ever. Third was Megan. She had obviously been talking her coração out and was looking much like her old self. Fourth was that her friends all seemed better. Fifth was just how wasted she felt. Nothing was helping her. She just wanted to cry even though she had no mais tears. But the final thing she noticed was mais of a warning sense. batman seemed to be putting a mural up between her and Robin. Becca knew she didn't like it. She need Robin mais than ever. But batman thought otherwise.
“Shade, you seem to be having the most trouble. Therefore, you will have therapy every dia with Black Canary.”
“Yes sir,” Becca muttered.
“Becca, take a seat.”
Becca did as Black Canary instructed, sitting with her legs drawn up to her chest.
“Becca, how hard is this for you?”
Becca shrugged her shoulders.
“They were your friends weren't they?”
Becca's eyes watered as she nodded.
“Then you have to feel something. What do you feel?”
Becca tipped her head back, blinking away her tears. Her lower lip quivered and she just shook her head. She buried her head in her knees. Black Canary placed a hand on her arm.
“Becca, I know you've been having trouble. But don't hold it in. You'll only hurt yourself. I'm here to help. To heal. Don't hand me a jaded heart. Cause I won't take it.”
Becca felt the tears escape her and rather than give in, she pulled deeper within herself where she knew not a soul could find her.
“This girl needs help.”
“I know. How is she doing?”
“Not well. She is hiding. She wants to come out. But the thought that they only want to change her stops her every time. Should e interfere?”
“Yes. It could be just the thing she needs.”
“When do we step in?”
“When we see her break. You can't fix what isn't broken. So why try with her?”

Prologue-
Sam tripped falling flat on his face in the mud. He stumbled up and continued running. Behind him he could hear the sound of a horse's hooves in hot pursuit and a capa billowing through the grass.
"Pick up!" he whispered hoarsely into his microphone.
A rope leapt out at his ankles and tripped him.causing him to fall again. The grain in the field he was surrounded in clung to him. Sam rolled over to see Reaper's head blocking the crimson moon above. Reaper cocked a gun and pointed it at Sam's face.
"And now I finish it." he said, and pulled the trigger.

This was her chance. Sydney jumped up and swung her arms under her legs so that her hands were in front of her. Quickly she swung around, hitting the guard behind her and knocking him out. Ty noticed, and lunged at her. She quickly dodged, grabbing the key for her handcuffs off the guard with the few segundos that she had earned. Before she could unlock them though, Ty was able to get back up and start kicking at her. Sydney dodged almost all, except one that sharply entered her stomach. Stumbling over, Sydney dropped the key, “Crap.” She calmly mumbled. Ty threw a soco at her; she ducked and rolled under him. She grabbed the key and quickly unlocked her cuffs. Sydney sent a soco toward Ty, who smartly dogged it and sent on back in return.
