When the smoke cleared, I was missing from the spot everyone had last seen me. I was high in the canopy of fake trees, looking down on Cyborg.
”Dude, I didn’t set my canhão to disintegrate…did I?” he said. Both teams were looking very pale. I grinned and jumped down, right onto Cyborg’s head. I pressed a button and vibranium sound waves emanated from my suit. They were loud enough to shut down Cyborg’s movement.
“The challenge is complete” I said. Cyborg was gaping at me.
“What? Did you not think I was female?” I asked. Then I remembered, that must’ve been what he was doing when I shut off his locomotion.
“Control Freak, has the challenge been completed?” I asked
“Yeah. Dude that was awesome!” he screeched. I turned Cyborg’s locomotion back on.
“If you were wondering why I didn’t budge, it was because my suit absorbs energy based attacks” I explained. I re-joined my team. Robin looked like he was about to faint.
“I take it my little disappearing act worked?” I grinned. He was looking at something over my shoulder. I spun around and saw the one called Raven on the ground. I sprinted over to her.
“Does she require medical assistance?” I asked
“I don’t know. She just fell when Cyborg came back” TT Robin shrugged. I felt her pulse. Strong. Her breathing was regular, too. I jumped back into the trees and grabbed one of the flowers. I crushed it, then jumped back down. I put it under Raven’s nose and mouth, then laid it on her forehead.
“Hebu roho kati yake kwa njia ya mwili hii tena” I said softly. Raven gasped for breath like she was coming out from under water.
“We have a healer on our team. Who knew?” Wally said, trying to break the tension.
“Raven, are you well?” I asked
“Yes. Thank you Jaguar” she said. I helped her up.
“Now that everybody’s on there feet again, we can continue. The seguinte two fighters will be…Beast Boy and Super Boy” Control Freak said. The setting changed again, this time becoming something similar to a Frozen - Uma Aventura Congelante palace.
“What is this?” Both KF’s said at the same time.
“Superman’s fortress of solitude” Robin said in awe. Super Boy’s eyes widened. I felt bad for the boy. The whole team new Connor had Daddy issues. Hopefully Beast Boy didn’t say anything. If he did, I don’t think any of us would be able to stop Super Boy from smashing him.
“So, this is your daddy’s palace?” Beast Boy asked. Without a word to each other, we all did a face palm. I got ready to pounce on Super Boy in case he got out of control, but Robin grabbed my shoulder. I stood back up.
