“Who are you?” I demanded, lifting Kalder’s un-moving body in my arms.
“My name is Tula. I’m a friend of Kalder” she said. I grinded my teeth at the pressure of my broken arm.
“Do you need any help with him?” Tula asked as I carried him to the infirmary.
“My masters once told me to embrace pain, for it makes a stronger warrior” I said as I laid Kalder down on the bed. I clicked my comm. unit.
“Guys, get to the infirmary right now. It’s Kalder” I said quickly. A minuto later, the team was standing with Kalder. I felt Wally’s hand rest on my shoulder. Even though he was with Artemis now, I knew he still had small feelings for me. That gave me an idea.
“ldiota!” I exclaimed aloud. The team looked at me.
“I can try to heal him with my powers” I explained. I concentrated on the moon.
“Despierta mi amor, despierta” I whispered, white moon energy leaking onto his body. Nothing happened.
“Brillo y el resplandor de rayo de luna, que brille tu poder, hacer lo contrario del reloj, traer de vuelta lo que una vez era el mío. I shouted in frustration. Tears burned my eyes. Then I thought of my dream.
“Tula, exactly what were you doing before this happened?” I demanded
“Uh, we were talking about my break-up with Garth. Then… he just fell. I screamed and you came running” she said
“Before he fell, did you hear anything…odd, or did anything seem …out of place?” I demanded
“I thought I heard someone whisper… no. It can’t be right” she murmured
“Whisper what!?” I demanded
“I swear I heard someone whisper ‘Die anchor, die!’” she said quietly
“What type of voice said it? Was it raspy, or smooth? I need to know!” I asked
“I-I can’t remember” she stuttered
“You have to! If you want Kalder to have a chance of living, you must!” I shouted
“Smooth. It was as smooth as a well worn rock” Tula confirmed. I actually felt all the blood leave my face. I felt extremely faint and I swayed on my feet. Robin and Wally steadied me.
“Oh Lord no. Why him? Why did you pick him?!” I whispered
“Night, what’s wrong. Why can’t you heal Kalder?” Robin asked
“Wally, you remember the thing I told you about my master’s master? Well, it carried a grudge. And took it out on Kalder” I explained
