1) Spelling and Grammar

Spelling and grammar is the first thing you worry about. If there are many spelling/grammatical errors, the story doesn't flow very well. You don't have to be an expert, but you at least should have a dictionary nearby and know the basic rules of grammar. You'll pick up on mais the mais you write.

    My body is broken.
        I limp down the sidewalk.
        People stare. Are they concerned? Or disgusted?
        I wish I was invisible.
    My family is broken.
        My father disowns me.
        My mother is disappointed.
        I don’t know my brother at all.

        My friends are gone.

Poem #1: Seasons Change (Free verse)
Seasons change;
what does that mean?
It feels like magic.
As the cold fades away,

in the era of Summer.
And the snow falls silently
and you see your breath,

Spring and Autumn, all their own,
