I stood outside of the cave, watching them. I knew what to do now, but I had hoped that it would not have to go this way. 'Too late now.' I told myself, "Good night." I whispered. My sister woke up, and I slipped back out into the darkness.

*

I woke up like always but something didn't feel right, I walked outside. The air was as cold as death and… There were 2 moons. Side por side, orange, thin, crescent moons. The moon, the stars, and the sun were all out at the same time. The sun gave off barely any light or heat, just a hardly visible smooth ice like dish in the sky. How I recognized it as the sun, I didn't even know. I walked back into the cave to wake up Aundre when I realized, he wasn't there. He was gone. I ran out onto the beach, scared as ever. I flew to see if he had just walked off somewhere. I saw him! I pomba down quickly; when I landed I scrambled over to him. He looked unconscious, I shook him desperately, "Aundre!" I called franticly. He woke up, he was just sleeping. "Oh thank goodness you're alright." I said, sighing in relief. "What am I doing here?" he asked, in surprise. "I don't know," I said, "I just found you out here." "Found me?" he asked in shock. "I took his hand to help him up… It was covered in blood. He looked about as surprised as I was. Both of his hands looked as if someone had tried to rip them to pieces. He had been lying seguinte to the cliff side. I looked up at the cliff mural above him, there was a message.

"A WARNING" It said it was written in Aundre's blood. It was signed, "VINDEMIATRIX."

I sharply took in a breath, I could read it. This means, it was written in Rishima. We weren't alone. 'Could that really mean--' my thoughts were interrupted. "Hey big sister." someone said behind me. I whipped around, "Who are you?" I stood up and took a step closer , as if to threaten her.

*

"Vindemiatrix," I bowed mockingly my hair swung down and almost scraped the sand, "call me, Vindemiatrix." She stared at me astonished, I could tell that she recognized the name even though she didn't know me. "Capella, sent me." I lied. "How do you know her?" she asked me. I smiled in an evil way. My golden eyes dancing like flames. I know how I must appear to her, the same way I do to everyone. My waist length pitch black hair that hung limply at my sides, my ivory colored skin that was in high contrast to my stunningly red lips, they made me fit the part I was playing beautifully. "She sent me," I continued, smiling maniacally, "because she heard that you'd been associating with humans." I glanced down at the boy. "A bit." My sister said defensively. My smile spread, almost naturally evil. "I've been keeping an eye on this--" I pointed a long claw at the terrified face of the boy, staring up at me. "Earth star." I smiled in incredibly brilliant smile barring my fangs. All of a sudden black claws shot out of my finger tips and my eyes went black, or they must have been, something real came over me. It felt as though a tunnel was closing in around me. I would have been terrified if I could of felt anything. I couldn't feel at all. I was gone, but I knew what would come next.

It was like she wasn't even there any more, like something else was coming over her. "Kill the human!" she screeched in a voice that wasn't hers. This situation on the whole, was a complete mystery to me. She sped towards Aundre. I held her back, easily. I was stronger and faster. "Let me kill him." she pleaded desperately. "Why would you do something like that? I can obviously tell you hate humans but this is a bit far to go just to prove a point!" "Help me!" she cried. I bit her. It was the first thing that came to mind. "Ah!" she yelled. She fell back, her arm was bleeding. She looked severely in pain, but not because of my bite.

*

I woke up halfway, I couldn't control my actions. I was bleeding a lot and it made my wonder frantically what had happened. I dug my claws into the ground and tried to hold onto it. She reached out her hand and held me por the back of my neck. I relaxed slightly, "Help me," I begged, "please…" "What happened to you?" she asked, surprisingly calm given the circumstances. "I don't know…" I took a deep hard breath, and I was telling the truth. Tears dripped down my cheeks, though I could barely detect the feel of them. I felt so controlled, there's no other word for it. I was only half alive. "I will come after you." I said. "The curse, I can't help it…" these words weren't mine. "What curse?" She asked fiercely. "It's not me!" I yelled with all of my strength. "What's not you?" She demanded. "This!" I told her. I was in control of my words again. "I'll kill him. I will, I will!" I screeched mortified. "I will keep you both safe." She said sternly. To me as much as the boy. "Who did this?" She asked. "Vega." I replied gasping. It hurt so much to talk, even though I wasn't the one saying these things. "What did Vega tell you to do?" She asked, trying to calm me down. I was in no state to be calmed "Kill the boy." My words felt forced. I snapped out of it and instantly stood up. I didn't breathe, I began walking away. I wasn't being controlled, yet I couldn't do anything but what I was doing. I felt choked. My legs felt weak and I collapsed. The light around me kept narrowing down, as if I was tuning the word out. I saw the two blurring imagens of my sister and the boy hovering over me. I could hear the sounds, the sounds that no one else hears. I didn't hear their voices. I heard the air and the ocean, and nothing else. It suddenly felt as if the Earth itself was growing hotter. My vision that had been only a narrow beam of light that penetrated through the darkness quickly widened. I could see, sort of. Black spots were crawling over my eyes. Slowly the sounds of voices became distinguishable amongst the static of air and water. My fists clenched and I was suddenly aware of the sand underneath me, I sharply inhaled, I hadn't been breathing. I saw my sister breathe a sigh of relief, and I thought it was amazing that she could care about someone she didn't even recognize.
