Meredith sat up in the middle of the night screaming. Again. She felt tears wet her eyes at another miserable attempt at sleep. She wanted to pull her sore eyes from her sockets. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t stay asleep. She wasn’t going to get any mais sleep tonight, and Meredith knew that. She pulled off the sheets and slowly stood up. She wobbled slightly and held her head. These nightmares were going to be the death of her.
Meredith crept down the hall and into the cozinha for a little snack. Maybe some warm leite would put her to sleep. She reached into the fridge and reached for the carton – then stopped.
“Hello?” She called out, swearing just segundos before there had been a noise coming from the hall.
“I’m being paranoid. It’s these nightmares.” Meredith thought, shaking her head. She almost believed herself.
Until she heard the noise again.
Meredith knew she wasn’t imagining this. There was a distinct sound coming from down the hall. It sounded muffled. Like…
Like footsteps.
Fear swept over Meredith. “There’s someone in my apartment,” She thought, almost hyperventilating. She held her breath, listening for any mais noises. It came again quickly.
“Those are odd footsteps,” Meredith pondered. They didn’t sound very specific and in rhythm with each other. More… small. The sound was very quiet, almost impossible to hear even in the complete and utter silence. Now that she listened, it didn’t sound like footsteps at all.
Bump!
Meredith jumped at the sudden noise. It sounded like something hitting the wall. Maybe a body part? Was the person crawling?
Meredith held as still as possible. The noises had stopped – temporarily. She realized in horror she had to do something. She couldn’t risk this man/woman staying in her house. He could try to steal something or maybe even hurt her… Meredith gulped.
She reached across the counter for the silverware, and grabbed a cutting knife. She held it out in front of her and started tip-toeing towards the doorway. Her whole body was shaking. As she entered the dark hallway, everything was quiet.
Bump!
Meredith bit her bottom lip. The sound was coming from her room.
“Dear God, he’s in my room…” Meredith thought, paralyzed with fear. Her door was wide open, he could’ve came right in without the door squeaking. Then, in a sudden burst of anger, Meredith held the faca in both shaking hands and burst into her room,. She held her breath, reaching for the light switch and flicking it on. She screamed a girlish squeal at the sight.
A rato stared at her from the middle of her floor.

Only in my dreams
You're missing, but you're always
a heartbeat from me
I'm lost now without you
I don't know where you are
I keep watching
I keep hoping
but time keeps us apart
Is there a way I can find you?
Is there a sign I should know?
Is there a road I could follow
to bring you back home?
Winter lies before me
Now you're so far away
In the darkness of my dreaming
The light of you will stay
If I could be close beside you
If I could be where you are
If I could reach out and touch you
And bring you back home
Is there a way I can find you?
Is there a sign I should know?
Is there a road I could follow
to bring you back home?
To me...

My dear amor you once were a shining ray.
In my eyes you meant the whole world to me.
Now everything about you is a shade of gray.
Like your beauty, your emotions, and your amor is what I see.
However we must part onto our new paths.
Because our amor is coming to its new close.
as cores were a beauty but now gray spreads its wrath.
I would amor to feel again but now it’s a ghost.
Our amor has left this earth for old times’ sake.
But when our amor left it took you along too.
Sadly it left me with all this heartache.
Dying amor was something I wish I had clues to
If someone told me amor would never be easy
I would have chosen another path that’s breezy

He didn’t want money or fancy cars; all he wanted was to be loved por someone, any one at all. He needed someone to care about him, not his wealth, not his ties to the rich and famous, someone that actually cared about him, the boy with bright blue eyes that sparkled in the sunlight, curly raven black hair and a boyish grin permanently plastered on his face hiding the pain of being alone. Yet no one did, all they saw was the heir to the Jeffrey Empire, the boy that was going to inherited it all. The boy, who was the prefect son living up to the Jeffrey name. They never saw the boy’s who’s arms were covered in cuts, the faca against his skin, the blood dripping down staining the carpet, his eyes closing never to open again. No one read the note tucked into his pocket cause no one cared.
I’m finished
I’m done
I can’t do this anymore
I’m through
I can’t last another second
It’s all I’ve ever seen
Surrounded por chaos
Filled with fear
Its’ all I can think about
All the lost love
All the broken hearts
All the destroyed dreams
All the hopeless children
And devastated parents
Everyone who turned their cheek
Who ignored the cries
Of help and distress
No mais kindness
Only monsters and demons
Who always kill
You took her from me
And now you’ll pay
‘Cause I have one final thing to say
—Good-bye World
—Hello Death and eternity
I’m done
I can’t do this anymore

There is strength in my heart.
I have looked for it
For decades now.
Yet I have not found it before.
Now I have.
It will get me over every obstacle,
Every region,
Every country.
It makes me proud
To see this.
To see my strength
Laying there,
Waiting for me.
And me only.
This type of strength
Is called courage.
Perseverance.
Perseverance is the best type
Of strength possible.
And I have it.
Yes, me.
Never before,
Will you see me cower within the shadows
Again, like before.
I have changed.
And I am sure you will see that.
I have strength in my heart.
I have looked for it
For decades now.
Yet I have not found it before.

I looked into the window
to see the girl before me.
she was gorgeous, and beautiful
She looked strong,
she looked independent.
Her Mask was no longer there,
but what was on the outside was visible.
You can see the scars on her heart,
you can see the hurt in her eyes,
and the pain on her face.
But you can also see how it made her stronger.
She has said "Enough is Enough, Today is the Day, and today i will be victorious"
she strikes the match,
and drops the flame, to burn her past
She smiles at me, and touches her face,
and she said the words "Today is the Day"
Today I finally discovered, The girl looking back at her,
was me. :)
