When they got there, the house still looked old, but not a Fall of the House of usher Gothic, Amytiville Horror old. It looked like it was from the 20's but it looked restored. Lilian looked at Mimi and said,"Yeah, I paid some people last mês if they could restore the house. I showed them a picture of what the house looked like in color and they fixed it up good as new." Mimi looked at in amazement and said,"It looks untouched and new, yet it still has that old timey atmosphere to it." Lilian smiled and said,"Yeah. Very pretty. But it does however have cable and electricity. I thought since you and Grace will be here, then you guys needed a little bit of modern dia to it." "Actually, I could care less. I don't watch t.v that much anyway." "Well, Gracie here does and she'll throw a major fit if she doesn't have it. I know it's spoiling, but I don't want her stay to be moody and bad." "I understand." They walked in, as Mimi felt like a breath of fresh air just hit her. It was beautiful. It did have modern things like t.v, electricity, microwave, air conditioning, and a refridgerator, but it still had that atmosphere to it. Lilian even brought some DVDs that both of the girls would like to watch and some for her and Mimi to watch after Grace goes to bed. The girls went upstairs to their rooms. Lilian called up and asked if they wanted to swim. They put on their swim gear and went outside. Lilian was watching the girls and working on her story, as Mimi was swimming with Gracie in the lake. As they were swinging on a rope from a árvore (also new and restored), a young girl with really dark long hair and dark eyes with pale skin walked up to them. Her roupa de banho, fato de banho looked like a rather old fashioned one piece, and she was very thin and tall for her age. She looked about Gracie's age, and had an adorable but creepy smile to her. She walked up to them and said,"Can I play with you?" Gracie smiled and said,"Okay!" The girl looked at her sternly and said,"Not you, the older woman. I don't like to play with younger kids or kids my own age." Mimi looked at her oddly and said,"Um, okay. But if you play with me, you play with her. And besides, with that attitude, you won't play with us. We like nice people, not people that don't like other people because of size and age." The little girl smirked and jumped into the lake por herself. Gracie looked up at Mimi and said,"I don't like that little girl." Mimi looked at her and said,"Me either. Just ignore her and we'll have fun por ourselves." "Yeah, and I bet she's jealous because she doesn't have a cool older cousin to hang out with." Mimi smiled at the fact that her little cousin likes her. They started playing, giggling, splashing, having fun, while the little girl got out of the lake. She walked to a corner and cried to self, looking back at them every ten segundos to see if they noticed her. Gracie looked at Mimi and said,"Hey that girl's crying." "Just ignore her. She's trying to get our attention,"Mimi assured her. Mimi knew how to deal with kids like that girl. She's dealt with little kids that would annoy and follow her, and kept cool about it. An hora came by, and the little girl was still there. Lilian told the girls to go inside of the house, and the girl was still there.
While Gracie was asleep, a light haired girl was standing over her bed. She was whispering,"Don't trust the dark haired girl. Don't trust her. Don't." Gracie woke and the girl was gone. She looked out her window and the dark haired girl was finally gone. Gracie touched her forehead and said,"Whoa, I must be leitura too much scary stories or something. That was weird." She went back to bed, longing to tell Mimi and her mom about her odd experience from that night.
The seguinte day, Mimi saw Gracie and the dark haired girl playing and giggling outside. Gracie was saying,"Oh Anna, you're so funny! Hahaha!" Mimi looked at her and said," Good thing you girls are getting along!" Gracie was giggling and said,"Yeah, she's really fun to be around. Her name is Anna, and Anna this is my cousin Mimi." Anna looked at her innocently and said,"Hello! You are very pretty. I wish my hair was that color." Mimi seemed flattered por the little girl's sweetness compared to yesterday and said,"Thank you." Just as the girls were having fun, a girl with light redish blond hair walked towards them. Anna groaned and said,"Go away, Faithie. Go away." "But I wanna play with you." "No! I'm playing with older people! You're too young! Go play with your older sister." "But she's busy with my Momma. Please!" Mimi looked at Anna and said,"Anna, be nice to her. Let her play." Anna was frustrated and angry when she said,"Fine. Faithie, get over here!" Faithie smiled when she ran over to them to play. Mimi was enjoying playing with the younger girls. They were something better than hanging out with a bunch of older teenage girls that acted stressed and had attitude issues. Mimi didn't understand why Anna disliked Faithie. Faithie was sweet and kind and just wanted to play with someone. Mimi felt bad. She really wanted to help this little girl and Anna mediate their feelings. If only Mimi knew it was already too late....
