Prologue ~

Kinktail and her new kits, Rubblekit and Flowerkit, were curled up in a mossy nest lined with feathers and wool. "Ashstone, come here." she called quietly to her mate. "Yes?" whispered Ashstone. "Can you mentor Mudpaw? I will need to look after my kits." asked Kinktail. "Of course." purred Ashstone. He padded out of the nursery. Robinfall and her three kits were curled up peacefully in the nest seguinte to Kinktail's. "Find the Four..." The whisper startled Kinktail. "Who was that?" she muttered. She fell into a deep sleep.

An old, hairless blind cat with long, twisted, yellow claws was standing in front of her. Ugh. She thought. "I am Rock. You need to find the Four. Figure out which one will lead MarigoldClan. You are the fifth cat." rasped the old cat. "I-I will try. I think I know who you must be talking about." stammered Kinktail. Rock faded. She was back in her nest, seguro and sound. The Four must be four gatos born in the same litter. She fell asleep, this time with no dreams to disturb her.
