I backed up slowly, not wanting the she lobo to feel threatened and attack. “Nice wolf, I'm not going to hurt you.” I got up off the ground with my hands out, facing the wolf. She had white pele, peles with a small gray estrela on her chest. Climbing off the small colina she had been standing on, she began walking towards me. I stood still. If I ran, she would pin me down and attack; and if I stood here there was no telling what she might do. “Please don't kill me. I didn't want to be brought here.” She was circling me and sniffing. Suddenly, she stopped. “I can smell his blood.” Her voice was soft, but had a sharp edge to it. “Blood? Who's blood?”
“His. My mate, you know Brett.” She was looking at me like I had lost my marbles. “I left him at your place the night of the ambush.”
“Right, so you're his mate. It's nice to meet you.” I told her. She was now sitting in front of me. “It's nice to meet you too. I'm Dalla. One of the few female shape shifters known about.”
“What do you mean? There are only a few females in your pack?” I was surprised.
“Ya, there's me, Brett's mate, Altar's mate is Piper and Thaddeus has Emmaline. Other then the pups, those are all the females.”
“That's it?”
“Yep. Well I guess you could count y-”
“Dalla! I 'ope you weren't just yappin' to 'er about the lack o' females.” It was a big, burly looking she lobo coming over the hill. “No Piper. I was just-”
“Save it. I don't wana 'ear 'bout yer problems. Plus, you know what Rowan and 'eidi would say 'bout you flappin' yer trap 'bout 'er.” Piper nodded her head at me which seemed kind of rude, seeing as how I could hear everything she was saying.
“Sorry Piper, it's just that well I wanted her to fit in.” Dalla had her tail between her legs, and she was looking at the ground. I felt sorry for her, this other wolf, Piper, was pushing her around like she was a weakling. “Hey Dalla, it's alright. Not many people go to this much trouble to make me feel at home.” I walked over to her and knelt down. “How about you show me around.” She perked up, before glancing over at Piper.
“Ok. Let's start with the pond.”
“Sounds good.” I forgot all my worries as I followed Dalla through a patch of bushes and between two trees, leaving Piper in the small clearing I had woken up in.
Dalla lead me to a beautiful pond with a small waterfall and lots of trees surrounding it. “It's beautiful.” I stared in awe. Dalla giggled and lead me down a sandy path that circled the west side of the crystal clear water. “Well, this is the pond where the pack usually hangs out when there's no business to take care of.”
“Business? What kind of business?”
“You know, who the alphas will be, who gets to be a hunter. That sort of stuff.” I knew she wanted to say more, but she looked away, so I didn't push. “I was just going to ask her where the rest of the pack was, when I saw a familiar looking gray lobo padding down the colina on the opposite side of the pond. Dalla noticed him too. “Thaddeus! Over here! Thaddeus!” Dalla was shouting to him, trying to get his attention. It worked. He looked up and started walking in our direction. “Julie, it is good to see you again.” he nodded at me in a respectful way. “Dalla, the alphas would like to speak with you on the matter at hand. They are in the clearing in the north.” Dalla said goodbye to me before running off to the clearing. I turned to Thaddeus. “You all seem busy, maybe you should take me back to my home.” The truth was, I was getting kind of homesick.
“I suppose that would be the safest place for you right now.” He turned back the way I had come. “Follow me.”

We are going separate ways.
We must leave each other,
Though I regret it,
There is nothing either of us
Can do.
We are going separate ways.
The bright light shines in our futures,
For the separate ways we go
Are the best for each of us.
We must leave for the good of it,
Though I don't want to,
And I know you don't either.
But it is important that we do.
It is never easy
Doing what we do the worst,
Leaving each other,
And the thoughts that we are...
Best friends...leaving each other...
We must go our separate ways.
For our own good.
And we pray that one day...
We will meet each other again.
And we will.
We must leave each other,
Though I regret it,
There is nothing either of us
Can do.

On a starry sky
In the moonlight
At midnight
When I think of you
My coração beats faster
For there is no one like you
Who makes my dia perfect
Make my body to go numb
Lose myself
And forever hold that smile on my face
Its true that we are
Now on our separate ways
With the promises aside
That we'll meet again
For again might also mean
The seguinte moment
Or maybe never
You may mover on
Find your perfect princess
In this imperfect world
But to me
You'll always be
My prince charming
And thus the pergunta remains
Should I mover on?
Should I forget?
Is this the destiny of my life?
Only time will tell
But until then
You'll hold a fragment of my soul
For my mind wants to mover on
But my coração stays persistent
That you'll one dia turn unto me
In the moonlight
At midnight
When I think of you
My coração beats faster
For there is no one like you
Who makes my dia perfect
Make my body to go numb
Lose myself
And forever hold that smile on my face
Its true that we are
