I amor the vampire diaries t v show are the books just as good as the tv show?

In my opinion no. The books are slow moving and far less engaging then the televisão show.

The original trilogy (borderline on the Dark Reunion) are better than the show. The newer books are stupid, poorly written, and go way far out there and thus the tv show is better.
