I understand that everyone likes different shippings, but have you ever seen those fãs that are so into shipping that they skip part of the book? The ones that the first time the go through the book they just look for hints of their OTP (One True Pairing)?

I have a few things that annoy me about this:

1. It's an action story with some romance.

I know people say this a lot, but if you look it up por genre it's not a romance. I'm not saying there should be no romance in it, I'm saying don't get to influenced por the romance you forget the plot.

2. The relationships influence the plot.

Given, they aren't always romantic, but relationships influence a lot of endings in Riordan's books.

For example, Luke's bond with Annabeth is what snapped him out of Kronos' control and saved them all. Percy being grounded to mortality por Annabeth made him able to become invincible.

3. Logic.

I know it's a book, but I'm okay with almost every shipping as long as there is some logic to it.

Some excuses for shippings aren't well thought through given the circumstances.

Example: Someone once told me that 'Rachel and Percy would make a good couple now because she is the oracle'...but if she's the oracle she has to remain a madien which would greatly effect what they could do in the future.

Again, I'm mais of a canon person, but as long as you have some logic.

In summary, don't focus so much on the romance that you don't care about the plot anymore.

So I decided to look up the meanings of Jason’s friends names, to see if that might give a hint to their godly parent... and this is what I got…

Dakota
Allies
I couldn’t find a God or Goddess of allies but I thought what God or Goddess is associated with allies, or even friendship?? Her Godley parent might be Vesta (Hestia), because she is known for hospitality. I know she’s a Virgin goddess but this might be the "Oath to keep with a final breath" but that may just be my thoughts. Or maybe Mercury (Hermes), he is also known for his hospitality.

Hazel
Hazel tree; light brown
Well this might...

That's a pretty lame name don't you think? No, this isn't an artigo about why I don't like "Jiper". Actually I am helping "Jiper" fãs pick a better name...

Possibility A:

Jiper:
You could stick to it I guess. Here is what the word means:
You would use this word to acknowledge or
express your thoughts of a favorable impression.
or at least that is what the internet says. As far as i know, Jiper is not a word.
Why do I think it's lame? It rhymes with Diaper.
Mabey you want to re-think that...

Possibility B:

Pason:
I doubt anyone will use this one. It just doesn't have a ring to it. It just doesn't make...
