oi everyone, hollistergurl here.
So, as the título says, this is my reply of icuSTALKER's article, My Opinion of Jason, and some of my MoA theories I want to include.
And no, I will not go on a rant about Jason, I just have some things I wanted to say.

Maybe the reason why most of us hate Jason is because he's a new character. When I first read The lost Hero, I didn't like any of the new characters-- I hated these people who took over my old, beloved characters, like Percy, Grover, Annabeth, Clarisse (okay, not that beloved), etc.

And I was thinking, that because we had no clue about what happened with Percy-- and suddenly, this new guy who's a lot like Percy comes in-- we kind of hate on him, because we don't want someone to replace our beloved Seaweed Brain.

At least, that was what I was thinking.

I can see how Jason is a great hero, and now is probably the time to say I'll try and hate on him less-- I think I'll have mais respect for his character in the third book, because we'll come to know these new characters better, and will grow to their personalities.

After all, at first, I didn't like Percy Jackson-- now I adore him, after watching him blossom over seven books.

Okay, I'm done with that-- sorta.

This seguinte thing has something to do with Jason and Percy plus the Mark of Athena.

So, we all know that the two great leaders will eventually meet-- will they be friends? Enemies? Frenemies?

I think we all want them to get along so that they'll set an example for the other campers.

However, I was thinking about what Annabeth once said to Percy in the Sea of Monsters.

"Percy, you know who you remind me of most? Thalia. You guys are so much alike it's scary. I mean, either you would've been best friends or you would've strangled each other."

Now, I'm not comparing Jason to Thalia-- but they're siblings, and although they come from different aspects of Zeus/Jupiter, what's not to say that Jason and Percy will be like thalia and Percy?
Either they'll be best friends, or want to strangle each other.
Personally, I think it'll be a little bit of both-- they both acknowledge they're the leaders of the Camps (though both deny it). Maybe they'll get a little jealous on the way (think of how Percy felt in The Titan's Curse when suddenly, everyone was looking up to thalia for the respostas to the right move, when in the past two books, it was always Percy they asked for advice).

So, I'm just hoping they'll get along better than their fathers, and hopefully will like each other.

Now, onto other MoA theories.

What if Annabeth ISN'T on the Argo 2? Gods, that'd be horrible, right?
But it would be like something RR might do, to keep us in suspense-- after all, in SoN, Percy said that if she was on the ship, it'd be his best day.

Knowing how a book has twists and turns, and the characters don't exactly have the best of days, Annabeth might not be on the Argo 2.

And how will Jason and Percy react when they see each other? Well, my theory above.

seguinte thought;

Ah, the person we all despise (well, most of us):

Octavian.
I like to call him Octopus-- I have in an artigo of mine and some forums.

Now, when I first read about Octavian, this was my first thought:

HOLY SCHIST, HE SOUNDS LIKE LUKE.

Blond hair, though not too handsome like Luke, and skinny yes, but for some reason, a resemblance struck me.
I think Octavian will play a little bit of Luke's role-- a traitor.
However, unlike Luke, I don't think Octavian will save the world in the end and end up a good guy. I don't think there was any 'good guy' history on him like Luke, so that's where the similarity ends.

So, my perguntas for you readers--
1. Do you think Jason and Percy will get along like Percy and thalia do? Or will they have a rivalry?

2. Will Annabeth be on the Argo 2?

3. Will Octavian have a fate like Luke's?

Thanks for leitura this article, and good night (depending on what time zone you're in :P).

The lost Hero is the beginning of a new adventure, with the lost hero Jason we get a new perspective of the Demigod world. We also learn of how the Gods can help save the world. We also learn of how this connects with the anterior series as Jason and his army scaled and destroyed Mount Othyr. With this mais of the Demigod lives past are revealed starting with the finding of Bunker 9. As the three heroes battle their enemies, we also find out about the mortals from the myths. As we have two new demigod child (Leo and Piper) we get the idea of the powers of other Gods. The lost Hero is truly...

Piper McLean is a the kind of character I call a Mary Sue, and I hate her for it For those of you who don't know, a Mary Sue is a poorly written character (commonly found in bad fanfiction). This character is often female (a male version is a Gary Stu), and readers find her hard to believe.
Mary Sues are typically beautiful, to the point where you forget to breathe at the sight of her, and Piper is extremely beautiful. 'But she's supposed to be beautiful!' you say. 'She's the daughter of Aphrodite!' Yes, but in the PJO canon, daughters of Aphrodite are pretty much useless in battle, but not...
