I Believe Its The Journey A Couple Has Together. The Up's The Down's And The Special Moments They Have Together. Endgame Doesn't Mean Everything. The Journey Its The Important Part To Me.

the journey is the most important thing... but for experience the couples that are endgame are the ones with the best journey! ;P so both!

I agree with Filipa(frsbg)! We rarely see an endgame couple that had a bad journey

If the couple is endgame that's awesome but it's the journey that mattersm most. A lot of my fav couples aren't endgame and i think they had the most amazing journeys.

Oh please.. Don't tell me endgame doesn't mean anything. Like Fi said^^ usually thoes couples get endgame with the best story.

..and really. Everybody can like different couple and different storyline. Some people like LP's journey some like BL's. Nothing wrong with that. We all are biased when it's about our favourite couples Oo

Definitely the journey. That's what REALLY counts. There are so many great couples that haven't yet/never will be endgame, but I still adore them. A couple being endgame, to me doesn't generally change my opinion on a couple, it just makes me happy. :)

Agreed! I mean two characters didn't or did end up together for a reason. In the first case, they either didn't fight for each other or their love wasn't enough to keep them together! It's TV we're talking about... Everybody gets his happy ending. I accept to call a couple EPIC (even if they didn't end up together), but they must show their love to each other even when they are not together - moving on with their lives is accepted since they still harbour feelings for each other. But if they break up and even regret the relationship they had in the past, then I'm not that sure...

I think endgame is an affirmation of love, but the journey is what really makes a couple EPIC. However, if someone forgets the journey he had (however beautiful or EPIC it may have been), then you have to doubt the strength and the epicness of the couple...

Well if it is a choice between the two, I'd rather have a good journey than a season of no chemistry and bad storylines.

For sure The Journey. It doesnt matter if the couple couldnt work it out or had some problems or something else anyway, they point is what happened before. Many of my fav couples are not endgame but i still love them and if i could choose, i would not give uo their storylines to be Endgame.
But i would like to have both Lol

But seriously, I think both matters. If I have to choose... then the journey. Endgame is just a bonus.
But I agree with Team_Brooke too.
This is not life, this is TV, where in the end everyone - or almost everyone - gets their happy endings. So if a couple is endgame, there's obviously a great reason for them to be.

IT's abit of both but I feel that answer is kinda abit of a cop out. When they're endgame it means the writers are saying that this couple are meant to be and will be together *forever* after the show has finished and that's pretty epic if you ask me.

Endgame doesn't make a couple epic. Endgame is just the last chapter. It's the journey that counts.

WORD

Of course the journey needs to be great, but when you're throwing around the word 'epic' a couple that is endgame will always beat a couple that is not. Especially if the non-endgame couple end in love with OTHER PEOPLE! Truth hurts.

I completely agree with AnaHallam "Endgame doesn't make a couple epic. Endgame is just the last chapter. It's the journey that counts." What good is a couple ending up together if they are only together for the very end of the show? I'd rather watch their relationship be explored through many seasons than have one episode in which they get together. And while people can say that endgame couples are together "forever"... this is television, not real life- the couple ends when the show ends... they don't continue on after the show ends, so it's not forever. I don't care AS MUCH about the last chapter of a couple's relationship as much as I care about the relationship as a whole.
Just like I wouldn't watch a tv show that only had a great series finale... I prefer the show to have an incredible journey and many great episodes during it's run. The ending is not nearly as important as the journey... but of course it's nice to have a great ending as well :-)

And Team_Brooke when you said: "In the first case, they either didn't fight for each other or their love wasn't enough to keep them together! It's TV we're talking about... Everybody gets his happy ending." That really depends on what shows you watch. Many shows I watch do not have happy endings... my favorite show is Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Joss Whedon does not believe in happy endings; he believes in powerful and emotional endings-- which doesn't always equal happiness-- it often equals death, pain, and sorrow (with a glimpse of hope added in).

I'd say Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet is one of the most epic love stories of all time... no happy ending, no endgame... it consisted of love, death, murder, and miscommunication--- yet I'd say their story is epic. Sometimes NOT ending up together (especially when it's because one character dies) can be what makes a couple so extraordinary (Willow & Tara on BtVS, Keith & Karen on OTH, Buffy & Angel in season 2 of BtVS, Buffy & Spike on BtVS, Sayid & Shanon on Lost..etc)! And with some couples there is just too much pain or too many obstacles to overcome for them to be together-- yet they are clearly the loves of each others lives (like Phoebe & Cole on Charmed... if they weren't mortal enemies- their love wouldn't have been nearly as appealing and passionate as it was-- but I think most people who watch Charmed would say Cole was the love of Phoebe's life even though they couldn't end up together).

I knew someone would bring this up. To me endgame is who they end loving. Romeo and Juliet are engame in my book. There was no other person, no choice of not being together, they were forced apart by death not choice. Same with Shannon/Sayid and basically every couple on Lost that ended together...THEY ARE ENDGAME!

The journey is the main part and the important part of a couple and if they aren't "end game" then I feel like the couple's journey was all for nothing. However as "livlydebate" said, being "end game" doesn't necessarily mean living happily ever after; just by knowing a "couple" are in love by the time the show/movie ends, says to me that they are "end game". Lost is a very good example of not living happily ever after, but knowing that they loved each other {Jate} is really another form of "end game".

I hope I made sense lol.

I was really tempted to pick the weird Serena icon. ;]

I think both matter. But an endgame couple's journey, along with non-endgame couples (all couples) is the most important, in my opinion.
