So, since part one did so well, I've decided to go alond and do part two! I hope you all enjoy! :3 Also, this was inspired por a DxG series, so please check out the awesome story por starburst-rock, and blah, blah, blah! Again, hope you like part two!
So, on with the story!_________________________________________________________________________________
*Noah's P.O.V.*
"Okay, todays challenge is three-fold." Chris announced as almost everone crowded around the edge of the cliff. Yeah, crowding around the edge of a huge cliff is always a good idea guys. "Your first task is to jump off this one-thousand foot high cliff, into the lake." no, really? I thought we were gonna be doing gymnastics up here.
"That sounds way to easy." I heard Duncan whisper to Gwen. "I've seen these types of shows before, and I'm certain their gonna add some horible twist to this." really? That thought never occured to me.
"Piece of cake." Bridgett announced happily. Don't count your chickens before they hatch, honey.
"If you look down, you will see two target areas." I have a bad felling thats not good. "The wider area represents the part of the lake that we have stocked with psycotic, ha-ha, man eating sharks." see what you did Bridgett? "Inside that area is a seguro zone. That's your target area - which, we are pretty sure is tubarão free." in translation: we're gonna get eaten alive por hungry sharks either way.
"Excuse me?" did he stutter?
"Told you." Duncan whispered to Gwen playfully. She giggled, and I looked over to see her cheeks a light shade of red. Oh please, he's a delequient sweet heart! He can't have a steady relationship to save his life!
"For each member of your team that jumps, and actually...survives, there will be a engradado, caixa of supplies waiting below." great, now we have boxes to put the body's of the non-survivers in. "Inside each engradado, caixa are supplies you'll need for the segundo part of the challenge. Building, a hot tub!" great, beause who wouldn't want a gaint tub that you and other people sit in just for fun. "The team with the best one gets to have a wicked hot tub party tonight. The loser's, will be sending someone home." so, it's between winning a hot tub, or sending someone home. Well...either way everyone loses. "Lets see...Killer Bass, your up first." Bridgett then went to the edge of the cliff, and peered down into the water below.
"Oh... wow." couldn't have said it better myself. "So, who wants to go first?" well, your already there, so.....
The rest of her team stared at her with these: 'I'm not gonna do it' looks. I agree with the them, whoever does this is both suicidal and crazy. I glanced around at my team, and everyone had the same expression as the baixo - especially Cody.
"Hey, don't sweat it guy's. I heard that these shows always make the interns do the stunt first to make sure it's survive-able." sure, but do you really think it matters if they survived?
"So...do you think any of them lived?" Cody whispered to me.
"Well, I'm sure one of them had to, or else they'd give us body bags instead of crates." hey, I'm not gonna lie to him. Cody swallowed hard.
"Thats true..." Cody whispered back, sounding even mais teriffied than before. A feeling of guilt washed over me, and I really wished that - for once in my life - I would've kept my big mouth shut.
"So, whos up?" Eva asked.
"Lady's first." Duncan reminded, winking at Gwen. Oh, I'm sure he believes in chivalry. This, of course, earned another giggle and blush from Gwen. After a few mais minutos of silence, Bridgett sighed.
"Fine...I'll go." we knew ye well, Bridgett. "It's no big deal....just an insane cliff dive into a círculo of angry sharks." hey, I'm supposed to be the sarcastic one here. With that, Bridgett took a gaint leap of faith off the cliff. I watched her as she plumetted down to the lake below, and the whole time, my mind was playing that dumb música old desenhos animados used when a person would fall from a high place. She then landed with a splash in the seguro zone.
There was a bit of a pause, but then Bridgett re-surfased, and waved to us - indacating she was fine. So, the baixo have a point now....great.
"She did it! Yeah, yeah! I'm next!" calm down dude, your only jumping off a cliff. The hyper jockey then went to where we were standing, and took a running start toward the cliff. "Kawabonga!" (no idea if thats how you spell it...) Tyler exclaimed as he leaped off the cliffs edge. I then heard a very loud clank, and Tyler cried out in pain.
I peered down to see Tyler had hit his...groin on a buoy that marked the saftey zone. He then slid off the buoy, and into the seguro zone.
"Could he have had any mais of an epic fail?" I whispered to Cody. He then swallowed hard, and shook his head a bit. God, I'm just saying all the right things today, aren't I?
Then, after that, a lot of the baixo started jumping. The seguinte baixo members to jump were Geoff, Eva, and Duncan. Then it was love-able old DJ's turn. The giant was shaking all over, and was lightly biting the tips of his finger nails.
"Uh-uh, no way man. I'm not jumping." DJ said, backing away from the edge a bit. Wait...oh don't tell me that the giant is scared of heights.
"Scared of heights?" no, he's just shaking in anticipation to jump off the cliff.
"Yeah, ever since I was a kid." well, theres a shocker.
"Thats okay big-guy." wait...it is? "Unfortunatly, that also makes you a chicken." Um, Chris, I'd watch what you'd call the muscular giant - he might snap, and tickle you to death. "So, you'll have to wear this for the rest of the day." Chris explined as he put a rubber-chicken hat on DJ's head.
"Aw man, for real?" no, of course not. That was just a test to see what you would do, and you passed with flying color's.
"Bawk, bawk, bawk." Chris exclaimed, flapping his arm's like a chicken. He's just looking to get punched, isn't he? "That means: the chicken path down is that-a-way." wait, I didn't know there was such a language as chicken-ese. "Next!" Chris exclamied as DJ slinked his way to the escalator - which was the chicken path down.
The seguinte baixo members to take the suicidal drop were Ezekiel, and Harold - who had his legs dividido, dividir on the way down, and...um...well, let's just say he had a belly flop but with his private part's.
"Oh, hate to see that happen." sure you do Chris.
"Excuse me Chris, I have a medical condition." Courtney informed in a tone that an adult would use when talking to a young child. Oh, this I got to hear.
"What condition?"
"A condition that prevents me from jumping off cliffs." I think you mean sanity there, honey. We all have it. Well...some of us do at least.
"You can chicken out if you want, but it might end up costing your team the win. And then they'll hate you" Chris reminded, giving Courtney a: I-dare-you-to-do-it look.
"It's a calculated risk." oh, is it now? "I've seen the other team, and I don't think none of them will jump." Courtney then gave my team the most cocky look I've ever seen. Oh, I'm definitely gonna jump now.
"Alright, here's your chicken hat." Chris then put the dreaded yellow hat onto Courtney's head. Courtney got a sudden shame-filled look, and started trudging to the escalator. She was almost there when Trent stopped her por putting a hand on her shoulder.
"Hey, don't feel bad about not jumping, alright." Trent whispered to Courtney. "It's no big deal, and besides, I think I might not even jump." like hell you aren't! Courtney got a small smile, and nodded her head a bit. She then went to the escalator with a deep blush, and a goffy grin.
"So, let's tally up the resultes! Hold on...thats seven jumpers and two chickens. Were missing two." yeah, the psyco-maniac and the clone.
"I'm not jumping without Katie!" oh, here we go again! Enough with the closeness thing already!
"We have to be the same team Chris! Please?!" and, here comes the begging.
"Please! Can we? Can we Chris? Can we? Can we? Can we?" the girls asked at the same time, and at the same speed. For gad sakes, just put them on the same team so they'll both shut up!
"I'll switch places with her." Izzy interjected, raising her hand.
"Alright, fine! Your both on the Killer Basss now! Izzy, your on the Screaming Gophers." wait, so...we get the psyco? Great, today just keeps getting better and better.
"Yes!" both girls exclaimed, pulling each other into a hug. Izzy shruged, and walked over to where my team was standing.
"That means your up girls!" Chris reminded them.
"We're coming Killer Bass!" just go already! Katie and Sadie then took each others hand, and both jumped off the cliff - screaming with exitment. Unfortunatly for the Bass, they both landed in the seguro zone, so they were offically their problem now.
"Good riddance." I mumbled.
"I know right?" Izzy whispered to me. "The only reason I did that was so they'd actually stop talking for five freacking minutes." huh, who would've guessed? "Anyway, I hope we can become friends." oh, that just sounds peachy.
"Okay, so thats nine jumpers and two chickens." thank you Chris, because none of us could just keep track of the score without your help. "Screaming Gophers, if you can beat that, we'll throw in a pull-cart to put your crates on." oh goody, a cart. That definitely makes me wanna risk my life, and jump.
"Nice." sure it is. " Okay guys, who's up first?" can I get in line to be last? A silence that was much like the Bass's fell over the team.
"I'm sorry. There is no way I'm doing this." don't be so sure, there's alway's to make people do something.
"Why not?" because she said so, genious.
"Hello, national TV! I'll get my hair wet." oh please, you have nothing to lose por getting that mess on your head wet.
"Your kidding, right?" afraid she's not, gothie.
"If she's not doing it, I'm not doing it!" Lindsey announced. Okay, can someone just go so we can get this thing over with already?
"Oh, your doin' it!" Lashawna told Heather, narowing her eyes.
"Says who?" um...Lashawna, you idiot.
"Says me!" told you. "I'm not losing this challenge cause you got your hair did, you spoiled little daddy's girsl!" okay, I'm officaly interested in this now.
"Back off, ghetto-glammer, two-pants-wearing, rapstar wannabe!" okay, I don't know how, but I think this offically turned racist.
"Mall-shopping, pony-tail wearing, teen girl-reading, peeking at high school prom queen!" yep, thats Heather alright. There was a bit of a pause, but then Heather got a smirk that could only mean trouble.
"Well, at least I'm popular." oh....wrong thing to say there Heather.
"Your jumping!" well, she is now anyway.
"Make me!" don't worry, she will. Lawshawna then garbed Heather, and literally threw her over the cliff. Heather landed in the seguro zone, and when she finally resurfaced, she scoffed in suprise. "Lawshawna, you are so dead!" yeah, but I think she can defend herself against a person like you.
"Hey, I threw you into the seguro zone didn't I?" she has a point there. "Now I just hope I can hit it too." Lashawna then jumped off, and landed in the seguro zone seguinte to Heather. Well, that was an entertaining five minutes.
"I thought this was going to be a talent contest!" Lindsey whined. Oh it is, this is just the: 'jumping off a really high cliff' portion.
"Ha-ha! Yeah, he-he, no." well, at least he's not lying. Lindsey then shut her eye's tight, and jumped off. Then Gwen jumped, and I could feel Cody becoming very jittery - as if he was waiting for something, but couldn't hold out much longer.
"I'm gonna jump dude. Wish me luck." Cody whispered to me. Wait...he's what?! Before I could say another word, Cody was jumping off the cliff. As he plumetted down, I was praying to every god in history to let him get in the seguro zone. Luckily, Cody landed perfectly in the center of it. I siged in relief, becouse I really didn't want to have jump in and save his butt from the sharks.
The seguinte two members to jump were Izzy, and - the pretty boy - Justin. Izzy actually made it into the seguro zone, but Justin didn't.
'Thank you karma!' I shouted in my mind. People all around him were saying swim away, but he just stood there. A couple of yards from him, I saw the head-fins of two sharks coming toward Justin at a fast pace. 'Oh, this is gonna be good!' I thought, getting this probably creppy looking smirk.
Justin turned around, and, at that same moment, the two sharks opened their mouths wide. It looked like they were going to eat Justin, but all of a sudden, they stopped in their tracks, and stared at him.
'What are they doing?! Eat him already sharks!' I screamed in my head. The sharks then got these....smiles - like teenage girls who just meet Taylor from Twilight. 'Oh, you've got to be kidding me!' even though I know they aren't. Justin hopped onto one of the two sharks backs, and it gladly took him to the sandy costa - where everyone else was. "What a rip-off." I mumbled out loud. I then saw Beth was next, and she had a very frightened look.
"I...I can't do it. I'm to scared." well, thanks a lot, now I have to jump. "I'm sorry!" don't be sorry, just feel guilty. Down below, some of the Gophers who had jumped were clucking like chickens, and fapping their arms.
'Tough crowd.' I thought, and then I realized that I was going to have to jump sooner or later, and honestly, I perfer sooner. "Let just get this over with." I sighed, and then I took a leap of faith off the cliff. I'm not going to lie, the sensation of falling is scary as hell, and the knowledge that you could not land in the seguro zone just adds to it.
The world actually seemed to slow down a bit, and parts of my life flashed before my eyes. My siblings picking on me, comforting my mother when no one else did, and a lot of leitura books or playing video games. Then some recent memorys came up as well. Helping Cody balance himself when his foot was hurt, falling asleep to Cody's apparently hypnotic breathing, and staring at Cody the whole time he talked to me. I somehow felt calmed por those memorys, and I somehow got lost in them.
Then, all to suddenly, I was brought out of the memory's por the shock of landing in the water. At first, I couldn't move. My whole body was in complete shock, and I honestly thought I may be paralized or something.
'Am....am I dead?' I asked myselef in my mind. Multiple heart-beats told me no. I then swam up to the surface, and I started gasping for air. When I finally caught my breath, Trent landed in the seguro zone (I apparently made it into the seguro zone as well) only a few inches from me. When he resurfaced, he gasped for air and got a suprised look.
"Oh...hey dude." Trent greeted.
"Hi." yeah....this isn't akward at all.
"Okay campers, there is only one person left! You guys need this for the win! No presure dude" theres not? "Okay theres presure!" okay, thats better. Tons of people from my team were cheering Owen to jump, while the other team just prays he dosn't.
So, it all comes down to Owen, huh? Well....our team's doomed. Me and Trent turned our attention sky-ward, and waited for Owen to either jump, or not jump.
There was a momentary pause, but then Owen jumped off the edge of the cliff - wearing water wings for some reason. As Owen got closer to the water, I realized something very importan: he was diving into the lake, and me and Trent were directly under him. I was just about to make a run - or in this case swim - for the barco that would take us ashore, but I was to late. Owen droped into the water, and it created a massive wave that carried me, Trent, the boat, and a few of the sharks onto shore. I fact, it even reached into the woods a bit. Everybody had felt the waves rath, and there was this erriee silence.
"Yes! Yeah! Oh yeah! Who's the man?!" Owen exclaimed, sounding very proud and excited. A lot of my team members were cheering, but i just laid there in amazment.
"The winners: the Screaming Gophers!" so...we actually one. Well...thats honestly shocking. I didn't really expect us to win, but...hey, I guess it's pretty nice not losing.
"That was awesome dude!" Trent complamented, but Owen wasn't really paying attention. He was looking around in the water for something. "Whats wrong?" yeah, did he lose something?
"I, uh...think I lost my bathing suit." oh, thats just wonderful. A few of the campers complained about that, but I deided not to comment. I then got up, and brushed myself off. Everybody then changed back into their regular cloths - which they just put over thei bathing suits - and my team instantly started carregando the four boxes onto the four crates. I was going to help Cody load and push his cart, but Izzy had already gotten there. So, I got stuck helping Lindsey load and push her cart. Yahoo, I get to work with someone who's IQ is lower than gum.
When everyone was finally ready, we finally headed back to the camp ground. Along the way, someone started humming the repeating song: 'pop on the wall'. Then another person joined in, then another, and pretty soon everyone one on my team - including me - was cantar it.
Then, all of a suden, I felt like I was carrying all the weight of the carrinho and crate. I looked over to see that Lindsey was no longer on the other side of the cart.
'Where did she go?' I thought, looking around to see if she was with any of the other team members. I was about to ask if anyone knew what happened to her when she came runnung up, and got back onto her side.
"Sorry about that Nathen!" Lindsey apologized, getting my name wrong.
"It's Noah. Where did you go, Lindsey?" yeah, I had to push this carrinho alone for a whole five minutes.
"Oh, well, we were walking along, and then see this huge shiny thing in the ground!" why am I not suprised? "So, I went to go look at it, and when I held it up to my ear, I could hear the ocean! It was a magcal one time thing." really Lindsey, really?
"Um...dosn't' the lake sound the same?" I asked, pointing toward the lake.
"But the lakes not the same as an ocean." um, their basicsly the same thing honey.
"Sure it's not." I mean, just because there two body's of water dosn't make them similar at all. With that, me and Lindsey - aka: the world smartest blond - walked the rest of the way not talking to each other. I mean, we were still singing, but not actually talking.
We finally arrived back at camp, and everyonee started commenting on how easy it was getting there. Seriously, have these people learned nothingabout counting their chickens before they hatch? We then brought the crates up to the camp ground, and Chris imediantly told us that we could only open the crates with our teeth. Yes, they all are idiots aren't they? Me and Trent tried to open to engradado, caixa while Izzy was trying to open another.
"Okay, I need to go see whats taking the other team so long. So you all just stay here, and try to open the crates." like we couuldn't figure that one out. "Remember, you guys can only use your teth to open the crates. I came up with that one." no, you did? por the complexity of it, I thought you had profesionals come up with that. A engradado, caixa over, I heard Izzy growling like a mad dog. Then, I also heard a cracking noise.
"Hey, I think I got it open!" Izzy exclaimed - it being a bit muffled since she had rope in her mouth. Me and Trent looked up, and in a rápido, swift motion, the engradado, caixa fell apart at the seam's. "OW!" Izzy cried in pain. "Rope burn on my tounge!" she the flopped her tounge out to reveal a pretty bad looking rope burn.
"Hey, Izzy, do you think you can open the rest of these crates like that?" I asked. Izzy eyes filled to the brim with excitment, and she got an un-naturally big smile.
"Of course I can! Just get out of the way, and let me work my Izzy magic!" okay, whatever you say little miss crazy. Izzy went around to all of the boxes, and opened them the same way she did the first. After all the crates were open, we all started rummaging through them for supplies. In the box me and Trent had, we basicall had a bunch of tools, and what looked to be a pool liner.
"Hey check it out! I got wood!' what did you think we thought it was, a iron sword?
"I've got some tools here, and what looks like a pool liner." so, are we just gonna have show-n-tell what we found in the boxes, or are we gonna build this thing? As we were unloading the last few things in the boxes, the other team finally made it to the camp gounds. They all looked tired, and in need of a hot shower.
"Finally." Harold siged in relief.
"Hey, whats up guys?" yeah, you all look like a train hit you.
"Hey, aren't you missing a couple of white girls?" oh yeah, the clones are missing. All of the team looked around, and Courtney siged.
"Their getting a drink." Courtney mumbled, looking pretty ticked off. Harold then whispered something to Ezekiel, and it made the Canadian teen crack up.
"Thats funny." sure it is. Courtney rolled her
eyes, and walked toward the cabine - which we were in front of. When she got closer, I realized that one of her eyes was very swallon, and had a pinkish tent to it.
"Oh, what happened to your eye girl?" seriously, it looks kinda infected.
"Yeah, it's like really swollen, and I think it might be infected." Trent chimmed in. Thanks for the help Trent - I'm sure that makes her feel better about it.
"Nothing! Just an allergy." sure it is.
"I think it's getting worse." wait, it was smaller before? Courtney then whispered something to them, and all three of them went and sat on the stairs that lead to the cabin. Trent then pulled the last thing out of the crate, and turned to me.
"Okay, Noah, I'm gonna need you and...Cody to start building the base of the tub." wait...did he just say Cody? I felt myself blush, but luckily no one noticed.
"Why Cody?" I asked, raising a eye brow.
"Well, I figured you guys are good at stuff like math, and stuff like that, so I'd be easy for you guys to make the right kind of base. Besides, he seems like a pretty nice dude." yeah, but you have no idea how akward it is for me to be around him though. I siged heavily, and nodded my head. "Cool. oi Cody, you and Noah need to get working on the base of the tub!" Trent called out.
Cody - who was trying to talk with Gwen for some reason - looked up at mention of his name, and he nodded his head slightly. In seconds, we were both slowly creating the bottom of the hot tub.
"Okay, I need you to hold these two boards together for me alright?" Cody asked, gesturing toward the board's on the ground. I nodded my head, and held the board as he instructed.
"So, um...I'm really sorry I scared you so bad earlier." I appologized as he carfully started to drive the nail into the wood. Cody got a smile, and chuckled slightly.
"It's cool. You were just telling the truth, and there's nothing wrong with that." Cody explained, still smiling. I felt my own lips turn into a smile, and I felt my cheek blush again. In minutes, me and Cody had built a perfet circular base for the hot tub.
"Wow, thats awesome guys." well, we do try you know. "Okay, so, lets start building the main part now." finally we're getting somewhere. In probably a half-hour, we had the whole body of the hot tub built. We also put in the liner, put on the device that will heat up the water, and then we were ready to add the water.
"Okay: Noah, Cody, Justin, and Gwen, I want you all to grab a few buckets, go down to the lake, form an assembly line, and start filling up the pool." okay, a little old fashioned, but it still works. We did as Trent instructed, and in another half-hour's time, we had the hot tub completely filled. We did one final check over the hot tub for stuff like leaks and other things of that nature. After that, we were finally ready to present our hot tub.
The baixo were also ready to present, but there hot tub didn't look exactly right. All their board looked askew, and there was duck-tape covering much of it. Honestly, it looked like a team of five year-old built it.
Then came the moment of truth - judging time. Chris made his way over to my teams hot tub first, and reapeatedly scanned it over. He taped our boards a few times, put a finger in the water, and finaly, at the end of it, he gave us a hard, judgmental look.
"This...is an awesome hot tub!" Chris exclaimed, his expression changing to a smile. Me and the other members cheered - even though we haven't won yet. Truthfully, we put a lot of work into that thing, and it was nice to get some props for hard work.
Then it was the Bass's turn. Chris did all the same things to the Bass's tub as he did ours, but in the end, their whole hot tub fell apart.
"Well, I think we have a winner here." obviously we do. "The Screaming Gophers!" Chris exclaimed, lifting a hand to our hot tube. Me and the ither team members started chering again, but this time it was a bit longer. "Gophers, you are seguro from elemination, and you get to rock this awesome hot tub for the rest of the summer. BONUS!" oh....well, not much of a bonus, but, hey, at least it's something. "Killer Bass, what can I say? Stinks to be you right now." yeah, I guess it would stink to be losing. "I'll see your sorry butt's at the bone-fire tonight."
"We won!" no duh genious, he already said we did. "We all get to stay here for another three days!" oh how you make winning so hard to enjoy Lindsey. Heather and Beth gave Lindsey a hug, and Owen - who we used to demonstrate our hot tub - came out, and did a victory dance of sorts. Well, the only bad part was...he didn't have a bathing suit on. He then rushed up and pulled Lindsey and Heather into a hug. Heather looked disgusted, and Lindsey looked clueless as usual. Shocker, right?
After Owen put his clothes back on, and a few mais minutos of celebration, it was announced that the party well be held after jantar - which was right now. Like at lunch, everyone got in line, and waited for their food. When I got mine, I went to the Gopher table, and sat down. Then, much to my suprise, Cody sits down seguinte to me.
"So, it's awesome we won today, right?" Cody asked, poking at his food. Truthfully, it did look like an improvment from the stuff we were served at lunch, but it was still just...in other words, weird looking.
"Yeah, I guess so..." I mumbled, poking at my comida as well.
"Well, you don't seem that excited about it." oh I am, I'm just speaking in a bland tone to hide the overwheelming joy wth in me. "Hey, if somethings bugging you, please tell me, and I'll do my best to help." god Cody, why do you have to be so caring?
"Nothings bugging me." except you, that is. "I just don't think winning a hot tub is all that, okay." now would you please let me eat my un-eatable comida in peace?
"How can you say that dude? It's a freacking hot tub! What could be better?" wold you like a list? I was about to answer, but Lindsey stood up, and shouted: NO! at the topo, início of her lungs. She then realized the scenee she caused, and she got a bit of a blush.
"I-I mean...no salt! There's no salt on the table. Bummer...." Lindsey then sat back down, and everyone went back to their anterior conversations.
"Okay, I know this so kicks the comida at lunch's butt, but I still don't think I can eat it." my thoughts exactly.
"Yeah, same here." I mumbled, while poking at the comida once more. God, what is it about this stuff that make you wanna poke at it?
"Well...do you just wanna trash it?" I thought you'd never ask.
"Lets." with that, I got up, and headed to the trash can.
"Hey, wait up!" Cody called, running to catch up with me. He did catch up to me, and we both scraped our comida into the trash - while Chef's back was turned that is. We then headed out of the mess hall, and I realized it was the perfect time to slip away from everyone. I then started walking in the opposite direction of the cabins, and of course, Cody noticed this.
"Where are you going?" in the direction I'm pointed in.
"Somwhere. Don't worry, I'll be back before the stupid party starts." before Cody could say anything else, I hurried in the direction I was pointed in. I continued in the direction, and, one way or another, I wound up back on the beach.
"How on earth did I get back here?" I asked out loud. I then took a look around, and realized that there were no camers, no other campers, and, best of all, no Chris. "Well, I guess it isn't so bad being here." I mumbled, keeing my voice in a whisper just in case there were cameras or someone near by. I continued to walk along the beach, and I noticed that the sun was just begening to set and the usual blue color was changing to shades of purples, orange, and pinks.
"Okay, is it gay I wanna watch it set?" I asked myself out loud. I then went and sat down on a near por rock, and stared at the sunset.
Truthfuly, it reminded of the sunsets my and my family used to watch on cool summer evenings after a long dia of playing out in the hot summer sun. I sighed at the memory, and continued to watch the sky change colors. I must've been there longer than I thought, because the shades of purple, oranges, and pinks started to dull to darker as cores like dark blue and drk purple. Plus the temperture started to drop dramaticaly. I thought about going back to the camp ground, but there was still plenty of time before the sunset completly. Besides, I amor being away from those psyco's.
"So, your watching the sun set huh?" a voice asked me. I looked over, and to my great suprise, I saw Cody come up and sit down right seguinte to me. "They started the party a few minutos ago, and...I just thought I should come and tell you so you don't miss it." that'd be a shame, wouldn't it?
"Look, you don't have to be here, alright. I know somebody probably sent you, so just go back to the party and tell whoever sent you that I don't really want to come to the stupid party." so please just go.
"Well, I actually can't tell the person who sent me." yeah, sure you can't.
"Why not? Afraid what I said will hurt their feeling or something?" cause I don't care about other people's feelings, and I'll gladly tell them for you.
"No. it's because no one sent me. I came to to get you because you helped out as much as anyone on th hot tub, and you deserve to enjoy the party too." wow....believe it or not, thats actually the sweetest thing anyone's ever said to me.
"Well...thats nice of you to be thinking about me like that, but I really don't really like partys. There just not my thing, you know?" I mean, if I was like Geoff, then I'd totally be into them.
"Well, there not really my things either, but I'm still gonna go. I mean, it's to celebrate winning a something, and I think thats something thats pretty specieal. So, please come." okay, it's sweet that he wants me to feel included, but...can't he just take no for an answer?
"Cody, I know you think I need to go, but I just really don't like party's. So, please just go back and enjoy it." just because I don't wanna go to the party mean you need to be here with me.
"Noah," oh come on, give it a rest Cody! I turned my head, and I was shocked por how Cody looked. His cerceta, verde-azulado eyes were wide, and he had this sad little puppy-dog expression. "Please come. I know you don't really like parties, but I really what you to feel like an included member of the team, because you are. If you don't think you don't deserve praise for your work, well....you do. I know I might be sounding really cheesy here, but it's the truth. So...will you please come?" I felt my coração pick up speed, and I realized that...I couldn't say no to those cerceta, verde-azulado eyes. No matter how hard I tried, I'd do whatever those blue eyes asked of me, because...I adored them. I simply adored Cody's ability to try and get to know others even if they don't want to know him. It's just one of his many qualities that I wish I could have.
"Okay, but...only because I have nothing better to do." plus I can't find it in my coração to tell you no. Cody got a big smile, and...captured me in a hug. I felt my coração litteraly stop for two seconds, and I got the deepest of all blushes. "Thanks Noah. You have no idea how much that means to me." Cody whispered. I felt my deep blush get deeper, and I found it harder to breath. Even thouh I adore Cody, could it possibly be...something more? No...I can't be in amor with Cody...right?
"No problem. Now...can you please let go of me?" it's really getting hard to breath. Cody then detatched himself from me, and laughed nervously.
"Sorry about that...he-he." I didn't know he laughs when he gets emmbaresed. Cody then stood up, and grabed my por my arm "Now come on! We're gonna miss the party if we don't show up!" Cody whined like a seven year-old. I then alowed Cody to pull me all the way back to the camp grounds, and the whole time, I had a deep blush. I'm not in amor with him...right?
When we got to the camp ground, the sun had officialy set. Around the ht tub my team built, there were tikki tourches and ropes lights all around. Plus, they had some música blaring in the back ground, and they were giving out free suco, suco de boxes and stuff like that to the people who wanted them. Truthfully, if this place didn't scream party, I don't know what did. Cody then threw off his clothes - he was still wearing his swimming trunks underneath - and parctically ran into the hot tub. I them casually made my way to the side f the cabin, and just leanded against it.
"Hey Cody, glad you made it back." Trent told Cody, giving him a fist bump. "Why'd you leave in the first place though?" is that really any of your buisness?
"Well, I had to make sure every Gopher was hear tonight." Cody then sent me a smile, and I couldn't stop from blushing. "Hey Trent, pass me a suco, suco de box, will ya? I wanna make a toast!" well, at least his attentions off of me. Trent got passed a suco, suco de box from Gwen, and then passed it onto Cody. "To the Screaming Gophers!" Cody exclaimed, raising his suco, suco de box. Everyone - including me - screamed: to the Screaming Gophers! Then, Lashawna made her way to the middle of the party area, and started doing a victory dance much like the one Owen did earlier.
"Go Gophers! Go Gophers! " Lashawna chanted as she danced. I looked up, and meet Owen's gaze from across the way, and it asked: wanna cadastrar-se in? You know what, why the hell not? I nodded my head, and me and Owen quickly ran out to cadastrar-se Lashawna in the victory dance.
"Go Gophers! Go Gophers! GO!" me, Owen, and Lawshawna chanted as we did our victory dance. I knew some people were probably laughing at us, but I didn't care. All I knew was that for once in my life I'm having fun, and making someone happy at the same exact time and place.
Of course, I also liked the smile of amusment Cody got when I started dancing. I pretended like I didn't see it, and went on with the rest of my evening. Of course, I would always catch myself wondering if Cody was having fun, or sneeking the occasunal glance at him. Even though I did these things, they were to only in Cody's best interest. Besides, like I said before, I don't amor him.
But, if it isn't love....then what else could it possibly be?

"Hey yourself," I said. "So how late did you stay up last night? One? Two? I hear you're leitura a VERY interesting book in Andrews's class."
"You be quiet," he instructed, laughing.
"Not until you kiss me," I laughed.
"Fine," he said, beijar me again. Just then the sino rang, interrupting our kiss.
"See you seguinte period," he said.
"Okay," I agreed, and went to class.
