NoctusLynx Okay, so I read this, and going by what I know about Virus, this is fitting, however, I think there's something I'm missing, almost as if I can't see the forest because the trees got in my way. I'm probably missing the bigger picture, but I think that's the message of this song: there's more to Virus than what anyone can ever understand due to her immense individuality and drive to survive.

Rachel's weakness is Dark magic, therefore, Sonic can erect a barrier around Rachel to protect her from the Dark magic in the atmosphere around them. (this cant, however, protect her from Dark energy directed at her por an attack)

Reason #2:
The only thing that Sonic can't do, is swim, henceforth, Rachel, being part mermaid, can work with sonic when forced into an aquatic environment.
