Garinina's POV

I stared at the young woman, thoughts running through my mind. How did she obtain that bruise on her forehead...when she is facing up? There is no obvious evidence that she hit her head on the tub. Unless...she was moved or...she didn't die in the bath.

I stared long and hard at the rather large bruise on her forehead, and I noticed something was not normal about it.

I touched her forehead, it felt unusually hard. It did not feel like skull. Curious, I pulled out a scalpel and began slowly cutting the skin of her forehead; this earned a surprised and sickened gasp from my new partner, Kenfi.

After I was done cutting the skin, I didn't expect what I pulled out: a metal plate.

I've now had an idea what her cause of death could be. I know for a fact that if someone is striked hard enough in the head, the hit could literally rattle the person's brain. And with a metal plate, the risk of brain damage is increased.

I examined the metal plate. When I turned it over, I noticed a strange marking. It was a small scarlet red hand-print. Curiosity aroused, I put the metal plate in my pant pocket for later research on that mark...

What happened seguinte surprised me yet again...

That rhythm... there was some kind of a rhythm in her step, in her fighting style. It was almost as if she fought alongside music, keeping beat as she fought, be it with a step, a dodge, a punch... but if a soco from her opponent was not on a beat where she would act, she did not know what to do until her action beat came.
