Tryouts had gone good. Or at least I think they did. I won't know how I did until tomorrow.

I don't know about that. I said as I but my lip nervously.
You did a good job. You only dropped the ball once or twice. Embry said.
Which means, I might not make it. I said.
You did good. Stop thinking so negative! Quil demanded.
I'm sorry I can't be positive all time like a certain somebody. I said.
Good grief you two! Where is Seth? Embry groaned as Quil and I argued.
Right here! What is all the fuss about? He asked.
They're arguing over if Uley made the football team. Emrby said.
Mattie, I'm pretty sure you made the team. Some of the guys were shocked that you could throw a football much less catch one and run in-between guys two time bigger than you. Seth said.
Yeah, I did squeeze through them pretty good. I mumbled.
No it was great! I've never seen someone play wide receiver like that. Quil said in amazement.
Thanks. I said as I blushed.
Mattie, is it true that you tried out for wide receiver? Jake asked.
Yeah, it's true. I mumbled kinda' embarrassed.
Oh, uh cool. See ya around. Jake said oddly.
See no one thinks that a girl can play football! I said.
Yeah but you're a girl who was born to play football! Embry said.
No I wasn't! I didn't start playing until I started hanging out with all of you boys. I said.
Well you got really good, really fast. Quil said.
Seth tell them that I'm not born to play football. I begged.
I agree with em'. You're really good for a girl. Mattie, it's a good thing. Seth said.
No it's not! Now I'm really not going to have female friends. I groaned.
You got us don't worry! Quil said.
Yeah Quil is right! Now let's go teach you about football! Embry said excitedly.
Alright. I said.
I carefully got on Seth's bike since I was wearing a skirt. I could actually make the football team or either the guys were just being nice. But who knows, they could be right which was sort of hard to believe. Maybe I was doubting myself too much.

I woke up to the boys waking me. It was unpleasant.
Ugh, guys! Let me sleep! I begged.
No come on! You gotta get up! Quil said.
Why? It's just school. I said.
We have to see if you made the team! Embry half yelled in excitement.
Alright, I'm getting up in five minutes. I said.
No now! Quil said.
Guys, it's five mais minutes. It won't kill us to be five minuto later than yesterday. Seth said.
Fine. Quil and Embry mumbled at the same time.
Quil and Embry walked slowly out of the room and Seth followed them.
Thank you! I mouthed to Seth.
He smiled and shut the door.
I closed my eyes and went to sleep.

It's been five minutes! Wake up!! Embry yelled.
I almost fell out of cama because he startled me so much.
Embry! I growled.
What? He asked confused.
You couldn't have woke me up softer? I asked.
Nope, hurry we have to go! He said.
I rolled my eyes and got out of bed. I was a little sore from yesterday tryouts. But I'm sure I'll be able to work it out.
I looked through a pile of clothes; unsure what to wear to school. No skirts but I wanted it to be something cute. Seth helped me pick out something that would be comfortable and cute. Then I finished getting ready and we left.
We got to school and I was nervous about making the team. I didn't even want to look at it. I could wait a little bit longer but the guys wanted to look.
You all look for me. I can't look. I said as we got to the bulletin board.
I covered my hands with my eyes and peeked out through my fingers. The guys looked sad. But Seth came over and picked me up.
You made it! First name on the list. He said.
No way! I squealed.
Yes way! Embry said.
We high five each other. I got some unpleasant stares por the guys who didn't make the team.
Congrats Uley. Gavin said.
Thanks. Did you make it? I asked.
Sure did! QB1 here I come. He said.
Alright, good job! I said as we high fived.
I started to wonder if this dia could get better. I could only wait and see!
