Parenting Tantrum coping mechanisms

Any good tantrum coping mechanisms? Not for the child, but for you, the parent!

I find that to keep from losing it I have to count slowly to 10 to regain my composure. I also try to hum a favorite song after the incident to get back to a "happy place" so my own post-tantrum anger doesn't persist.

Tantrums can be tricky and trying, but they'll get better with time. Especially if you can use some tricks to minimize them:
