It is my understanding that Alloy Entertainment are the ones responsible for firing L.J. Smith. Maybe if we all write to them and explain how important it is for us to have L.J. Guys, DE fã here. For the ones that haven't heard, L.J Smith got fired & cannot write the rest of the TVD books. A Ghostwriter has taken her place & it's said that they fired Smith because she wanted DE endgame while the publishers wanting SE.
