‘So who is this woman again?’, Hugh asked as he was getting dressed for his first encontro, data in 24 years. ‘She’s a friend of my wife’s sister.’, Robert answered as he and Lisa were helping Hugh to get ready. ‘A friend of your wife’s sister?’ ‘Yes, when I told my wife I was looking for a encontro, data for you, she told me she and her sister had discussed this some other time and that her sister knew the perfect encontro, data for you!’ Robert was really excited that Hugh was finally going on a date. ‘So your wife and her sister are talking about my amor life?’ ‘Is that a problem? The whole world is talking about your amor life, or rather the lack thereof.’ Hugh mumbled something unintelligible as Lisa silently laughed at Roberts comment.
Lisa handed him a nice blue camisa as Hugh looked at her questioningly. ‘I’m sorry, but Cuddy is right. This kind of blue looks amazing on you, it really does bring out your eyes.’ Hugh quickly put the camisa on and Lisa started to help him with the buttons. They smiled at each other and Robert could swear he saw their eyes sparkle as their hands touched once and a while. If they would only figure out themselves what an amazing couple they could be, he didn’t have to go through all this stuff…
When there was just one button left, their hands touched each other for a little too long and made them both feel a little awkward. Hugh quickly walked over to the closet. ‘So tie or no tie?’ ‘Tie.’ ‘No tie.’, Robert and Lisa said at the same time. ‘O that’s very helpful… Now I still have no idea what I should do, isn’t there some kind of dress code for a first date?’ ‘Ehm no, not really, but I think it’s important to look your best.’, Robert said. Hugh looked questioningly at Lisa, which made her blush a little. ‘I-I think Robert is right about looking your best, but I think you also have to look like you and be comfortable with your clothes, so that means no tie right?’ Hugh nodded as Robert sighed, ‘Okay well then no tie it is.’
‘So when are you going to tell me mais about this woman I’m going on a encontro, data with?’, Hugh asked a little annoyed. He was really nervous about going on a date, there were just so many things that could go wrong! ‘What do you want to know?’ ‘Well how about you start with her name?’ Lisa smiled at Hugh’s irritation. She knew how nervous he was, but she also thought this was a good thing. He was finally moving on. ‘Her name is Mindy. She’s 41 and she works as a guide in a museum.’ ‘Hmm..’, was the only response Hugh gave. ‘Do you know anything else about Mindy?’, Lisa asked being curious about this woman. ‘Well my wife said she’s nice and that Hugh would definitely like her, so…’ ‘Let’s see how well your wife and her sister know me then, what time do I have to pick her up again?’ ‘7 pm, which is 30 minutos from now and as it is a 20 minuto drive you’ll have to leave in 10.’, Robert said as Hugh tied his shoes and put his jaqueta on.
Robert and Lisa followed Hugh into the hallway as he was getting his coat. Robert also got his casaco and handed Lisa hers. ‘I think we should go now, our work is done.’, Robert said. ‘Yes… Thank you so much. I don’t know how this encontro, data will go and I really don’t know if I want to go on this date, but at least thank you for helping me get dressed.’, Hugh said as he gave Robert some sort of man-hug and Lisa a much mais tender hug and a kiss on the cheek. ‘Have fun on your date.’, Robert said as all of them walked outside. Robert went to his car immediately as Hugh walked to the garagem and Lisa followed him…
Hugh was standing in the garagem hesitating if he should take the Porsche or his other less flashy car. ‘It’s okay to take the Porsche Hugh, this is LA, it’s almost like a regular car here.’, Lisa said. Hugh turned his head to see her leaning against the doorframe. He smiled and nodded as he unlocked his Porsche. ‘You think I look okay?’, he had gotten a little insecure and was still extremely nervous. ‘You look amazing.’, Lisa said as they exchanged smiles. ‘Well, wish me luck then…’ Hugh stepped into the car and drove away as Lisa waved. ‘Good luck Hugh,’, she whispered, ‘you really deserve finding someone you love.’
