Chapter 6: Realizations
The seguinte morning
Hugh woke up just to find Lisa curled up seguinte to him. He smiled, he hadn't yet gotten used to waking up seguinte to her. She was so beautiful, so peaceful. In the mornings like this, when they actually hadn't been woken up por alarm and rushed to get ready for shooting, he loved nothing mais than wait for her to wake up. It was a weird thing, waking up to someone again... someone you... loved. There- he'd finally come to the term of it. He'd finally admitted to himself that he loved her, probably long before Jo had died. He wasn't sure when exactly had he started loving her... But what he knew was that his amor to Jo faded away during the last few years of their marriage. If you could have called it marriage. Of course, he would always amor and cherish her for one thing, she was the mother of his kids. Nothing would ever change that... Not even the fact that he fell in amor with someone else. He smiled.
All that sorrow after her death … He missed her, he really did. And he knew she would've wanted him to mover on. At least, he hoped so.
Now, he wasn't sad, and he had mais than a good reason not to be.
And that reason was starting to stir.
Hugh didn't mover for a bit, not wanting to wake her up. She opened her eyes signaling she was awake.
“Hey... what time is it?” she asked, yawning. Hugh smiled at her, finding her yawn adorable (as well as her whole persona)
“I'm not sure” he replied turning round to check the clock on the nightstand. “Half past eight” he said in his British accent
“Early...” she yawned again, pulling the sheet over her upper body, which was, until then, completely exposed. And Hugh really didn't mind.
“You should go back to sleep” Hugh said, moving the lock of her hair from her face aside.
“I think we should do something mais fun while the kids aren't home” Lisa grinned at him.
One mais reason for him to amor her... All of the time he'd known her, she was always fun to be around. Now that they were together, the whole concept of fun got a new dimension.
What he loved even more, was that she was always thinking about his kids first. In those brief eighteen months, she'd become mais attached to them, than Hugh had ever imagined.
Sure, the kids knew her long before Jo's death, but she'd always been 'Dad's best friend', now, she was something more. Hugh didn't want to rush and say that she was a mother figure to them, but somehow it seemed that way.
Hugh was really relieved Billy, Charles and Becca loved Lisa. He didn't want them to think of her as Jo's replacement, cause she weren't. She had never been the other woman, she just happened to be there for Hugh and all of them. And the kids kind of initiated the whole 'getting together' thing.
Hugh wasn't sure if he was supposed to be worried his kids were rooting for their dad to mover on.
He often questioned if he moved on earlier than he was supposed to. But no one could tell him when was the right time to mover on.
Lisa curled up to Hugh even more. “Hugh?” she asked, seeing him lost in his thoughts.
“Hm?” he snapped back immediately. As Lisa leaned in to kiss him, one pergunta stood unanswered, as it always did when Hugh and Lisa shared an intimate moment.
If Jo hadn't died in the plane accident, would he have been there with Lisa now?
He decided it was better if he hadn't an answer and leaned in the distance it took for him and Lisa to kiss.
And then do something else...
;))))))))))))
