Wilson knocked on the door and awaited a reply. He didn’t know if Dominica was there but if she was he was hoping maybe she could get a message to House. It had been months since that dia and he hadn’t spoken to House. He wasn’t sure if House was alive and he was worried about his friend. He was still angry with him but time settles edgy nerves and calms the storms within us all.

Dominica answered the door and Wilson asked if she knew how to get in touch with House. She told him no and that she had not heard from House. Wilson had already deducted that if House was alive and hiding somewhere that he had instructed Dominica to tell no one where he was.
If you talk to him tell him Cuddy dropped all the charges and he is free to come back. He won’t believe it but just tell him he can check into it. Dr. Cuddy put her house up for sale, quit her job, and moved on. I have written the realtor’s number down, the number to call the police to verify the charges were dropped, and he knows the chairman of the board at the hospital.

Wilson had not left for very long before Dominica left to go somewhere to call House. They were afraid the phones had been bugged so House instructed her to go out before contacting the people who could get in touch with him.
When House received the message he waited a while before calling. Dominica had used the 911 signal they had given her if it were an emergency.
House was in the middle of a case so he wanted to finish the diagnosis before calling. He had come into a village that had needed a doctor and they fed him, gave him a place to stay, and he had access to all the pills and alcohol he wanted.
Time away from everything had given House time to think and a lot of time to sort through things. He had grown up a lot and faced some of his demons and made some choices to go forward. He had the occasional drink but had managed to wean himself off the vicodin. He battled for a long time regretting what he had done to Cuddy. He wanted so bad to take it all back to forget the fear in her eyes and her uncontrollable shaking. The thought now that Rachel could have been in that house and gotten hurt just made him sick. He had taken so many vicodin that day.
He was still in amor with Cuddy but he knew what he had done was irreparable. He had spent the night with some women but he was just so sick of that life. He remembered their nights of endless passion and moments that took their breath away.
Those beautiful stormy gray eyes that melted his soul like fire. Her body so tiny and so perfectly made for his. The soft moans from her lips when he touched her and kissed her. The cries that came from both of them as they moved in rhythm together still haunted his mind. He could still smell her and feel her touch. She was mais than sex to him she was the most incredible woman he had ever known and he had been too stupid to realize it.
He had been considered lately of turning himself in and facing up to the legal ramifications of what he had done.
He decided to call Dominica to see what the emergency was. They had arranged a place for her to go and wait when she had called him to get in touch with her. Dominica filled him in on everything Wilson had said and gave him all the contact numbers.
“How was Wilson?” he asked her.
She told him that Wilson had said his number was still the same.
“Did he say anything about Cuddy?”
“Just the things I have told you,” Dominica replied.

They loved him there and needed him. Everything was pretty simple but there was such a void and even if they couldn’t forgive him he had to go back.
He said his goodbyes and assured them he would be back no matter what but he had some unfinished business that needed to be taken care of.
On his flight back he thought to himself I can’t go back but I can try to go forward.
