There are 2 main reasons in my opinion, for this pairing :
- Hermione is brilliant. Severus is brilliant. They seem to be a good match in this regard, if we leave aside their age difference. Some had been disappointed that she ends up with Ron. In that aspect, that's why some people paired her with Draco, deemed mais suitable for her in terms of intellect.
- Many young girls fantasize about Severus and they project themselves into Hermione.
However, some fanfics are well written and feature a grown-up Hermione. I used to like that ship but less now, because I've found very interesting stories pairing Severus with an original female character. I have "specialized" into that pairing too.
No, the books do not insinuate anything of the sort. It's just what fanfiction is...what fãs want to see, and some fãs want to see Severus and Hermione together.
I'm not one of them, but there's a lot of fãs who like the idea. To each their own.

Thanks... I was really starting to wonder.. The probability of this couple arrrangement is higher than Ron and Hermione...
I don't think theres anything with Snape and Hermione in the books. It's just pure fanfiction. Some people had the weird idea of those two together and they wrote about it.

Thanks.. It is a weird idea but in some stories it has worked very well.. :)
I answered the same thing about someone asking why there were a lot of dramione fanfictions out there. The reason people write it is because its completely scandalous and probably (most like 99.999%)would never happen. The only thing they have in common is a sense of dedication to school work and THAT IS PRETTY MUCH IT! People just like composição literária stories about impossible things. Some pairings are just worse then anothers... BTW i dont support HermionexSnape

The Draco/Hermione pairing actually has some allure to it. Opposites attract, and they're about as opposite as one can get without her actually being a Muggle. Which I personally would find far mais interesting, Draco actually winding up loving a Muggle.
I agree. The whole prejudice thing is very interesting to play with and dramione is a very vehicle in that regard, some kind of Romeo & Juliet in the wizarding world.
Oh Gods yes. Could you just imagine the fit Lucius would have if Draco loved Hermione? That's where the fireworks would be. I like this idea so much I'm tempted to write it out...there's a lot to play with here, really. I think Narcissa would be terribly disappointed in him, but there's no way in Hell she'd disown her only child, whom she risked her life for twice. She'd get over it, in time, I feel. But LUCIUS...heh...it would be interesting to see the effect of Draco's choice on his parents' marriage. };-)
Wow!! That would be interesting.. Forbidden amor and all that. As BlackHound mentioned above opposites attract and it would be fun to read a fanfiction where Malfoy who calls her 'mudblood' eventually falles in amor with her.
