i have to ask does ron call hermione Mione in the books because every does in fanfic's and i am sure i havent seen it in the books?? it is bugging me lol
Yeah, I always thought it was funny that people picked up that nkcname, even though she was really enver called anything but "Hermione" in the books. I guess they just think it's too long? lol.
He never calls her that. But fanfiction is written from imagination.I am a fanfiction writer myself and we like to use our imagination. So they imagines that Ron called Hermione Mione (by the way,it's kinda cute and easy to call)

In fact, he does (while shoveling comida into his face, see below)
Actually, during The Prisoner of Azkaban, Ron (with a mouthful of food, mind you) calls her 'Mione. I shake my head at all of the indignant commenters who say this never happened.. perhaps you don't have a good memory, or don't take this series as seriously as it should, but this did happen. It is, indeed canon. And if given a chance to give Hermione a nickname, it would either be that or Jean, her middle name.. what would you prefer, honesly.. to go the Grawp route and call her "Hermy"?

It was a one-off event though, and caused por the fact that he had a mouthful of comida so he was struggling to speak, not really a repeated nickname like how it's used in some fã fictions. But that happens a lot in fã fictions. They take something a character said once and make it his or her catchphrase.
