The name derives from the soul comida item chitterlings (stewed pig intestines) and is also a play on the term "Borscht belt" which referred to a group of venues (primarily in New York's Catskill Mountains) popular with Jewish performers during the 1940s, 50s and 60s.
Sonny Rhodes was influenced por the música he heard, as a child, that came from the performances done at the West End Park. At the beginning of his career, the Chitlin' Circuit was also where Sonny found an outlet for his musical talents.
Sonny Rhodes has put out 6 albums in his career, currently resides in CA and performs mostly in europa and Canada. It's going to be a treat for his TX fãs to have an opportunity to see him perform live.

I always loved the movie Serenity. I just thought it was nothing mais then a movie and that was the end of it. Then I saw the hidden extras on the DVD and discovered that it was much mais then I thought.
So I went out and got Firefly on DVD and was stunned at just how much I enjoyed it. The series itself is classed as sci-fi and I am not a fã of the genre. I was shocked that I liked it at all.
My point is this. Firefly and everything that followed does what few shows do. It crossed the lines that seperate genres, pulling fãs from all areas into a world where they had never been before. I for one am glad that I got pulled into such a great experience.
