I got all of Courtney's favoritos for movie night,and some of mine.I was hoping to get her to sleep,I wanted her to get sleep at the only time she didn't have cramps.I would have to make sure the movie wasn't too jumpy and ecstatic.I got her candy,but not too much,since she was complaining of needing to eat healthier.She had been carrying the baby for a month,and she was doing a good job of taking care of herself,and of handling the many challenges.I was SO proud of her.So proud.Still,from dia to day,I couldn't believe I was having a child with Courtney.I really couldn't believe it,it was that wonderful.We were also going to be able to get the ultrasound sooner,which was exciting.I was going to full out pamper Courtney,because she deserved it,with all of her college tests,and the stress of pregnancy.I felt pretty guilty,because I wasn't going through any struggle,except for work and college,and she was always so moody and tired.I decided that I should quickly talk to Geoff,he always made me feel better.I drove over to his house,very hastily.He saw me and opened the door to walk out."Dude!What's up man?"He called out as he walked outside."Not much.I needed to talk to you because I was feeling kinda guilty about Courtney feeling all of the pregnancy stress and that crap,and I'm just chilling no what I mean?I was hoping you could cheer me up.""Dude,you aren't just sitting around!You're always with her man!You've been taking care of her even mais than usual!And you took care of her a lot before she was pregnant too!You're doing your job,and she's doing her's.And plus,she was the one who got pregnant anyway!""What are you trying to say por that?"I asked infuriated."Well,you said her pregnancy was an accident yeah?"I nodded."Well,I don't buy that it was an accident.Just this morning you called talking about how she was lying about the child not being yours!She probably did do it on purpose."He concluded."No,she would have told me!"I exclaimed,upset por Geoff's accusation."No,she lied then,how do you know she wouldn't lie now?"He asked smartly.I pondered on that."You're right.Thanks Geoff!"I yelled getting back in the car.I drove back to our apartment and ran up the stairs,opening the door."Hi Duncan!Wanna watch a season of Scrubs?"Courtney asked walking up to me."Princess,we need to talk."I said seriously."YOU'RE DIVORCING ME!?BUT I amor YOU!""I'm not divorcing you Courtney."I said now sad."Oh yay!Now what do you talk about?"She asked curiously.I shut the door and sat on the couch."Courtney,remind me how you got pregnant again?"I asked persecuting her."Well,I forgot to take the pill,and I didn't remember all week,then I got sick and took the test,and whaddya know?Preggo!"She exclaimed as if she were drunk.I think she had onectoo many lattes."Courtney,did you try to get pregnant without telling me?"I asked her looking with a suspicious nature into her eyes."I just told you how I got pregnant!Why you don't believe me?"She said happily as if she couldn't believe what I was asking."No I don't believe you."I said staring as she took out the groceries."What is wrong with you?"She said angrily running into the bedroom.Courtney hadn't locked the door.I ran into the room,she was crying and scowling on the bed."WHY DON'T YOU TRUST ME ANYMORE?"Courtney screamed through tears."BECAUSE YOU'VE DONE SO MANY THINGS THAT MAKE ME HESITATE TO TRUST YOU COURTNEY!THERE WERE SO MANY THINGS!YOU BURST OUT AT ME WHEN YOU lost THE BABY,YOU TOLD ME THAT THE CHILD WASN'T MINE,YOU HAD DOUBTS AND DIDN'T COME TO ME,YOU BLAME EVERYTHING ON ME LIKE IT'S MY FAULT,YOU JUST TRIED TO LEAVE ME,YOU TOLD ME THAT YOU DIDN'T amor ME AND I MADE IT SEEM OKAY BECAUSE I KNEW IT WASN'T TRUE,BUT IT STILL HURT!YOU'RE ALWAYS HURTING ME!WHY?I THOUGHT YOU LOVED ME,BUT IS THAT A STUPID THING TO THINK COURTNEY?"I openly asked as she cried harder.She didn't answer."WELL?TELL ME COURTNEY!""It's not stupid because I amor you!You should know that por now.I amor you a lot Duncan!I amor you more-more than there are stars in the sky!"She answered quietly.I sat seguinte to her."Did you get pregnant on purpose?"I asked her quietly."No."She whispered."Okay.I want you to know,that these are just words.I amor you is just a sentence.I take care of you,and pamper you because I do amor you.You need to show me.Or else I will not hesitate to leave you.Do you understand?"I said angrily,holding her face in my hand.She silently cried now,nodding her head.I started to walk away,but she asked:"It was Geoff wasn't it?""Not as much as you would think."I said coldly."G-go.I'm scared of you."Was what she said in reply."I WOULD NEVER HURT YOU!"I yelled at her walking back over to her grabbing her shoulders.I put my face close to hers."LISTEN TO ME!I.WILL.NEVER.HURT.YOU.DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME?"Then Courtney smiled an evil smirk and laughed."Look at what you're doing right now."She said.I looked down to see my hands violently holding Courtney.She laughed a little,and groaned from pain.I let her go gasping in shock.She looked up and and smiled very happily for an odd reason."It's okay.I'm okay.You didn't really hurt me,I was just joking around."I could tell she was lying.I started to break down.I fell onto Courtney's lap."COURTNEY WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?WHAT'S MY PROBLEM?WHY AM I NOT GOOD TO YOU?"I started to cry I was so incredibly upset.Courtney slowly stroked my hair."It's only me.You freak out sometimes,but I freak out all the time.You always take care of me,I do nothing.It is the truth,and you were right.I promise to start trying harder."She started to sob too."I'm sorry Princess."I said putting my face to hers again."I'm sorry too Duncan.We both have issues to clear up.We'll both try harder.That's what marriage is all about."I nodded and we stared at each other,tears falling from our eyes.Courtney kissed my right cheek,and then wiped my face dry with her sleeves.I reached over and kissed her lips."Salty,but nice."I said.I knew Courtney loved "I amor Lucy,"and I used one of her favorito lines."I amor Lucy."She said smiling."I knew you cared."She added shedding mais tears.I wiped her tears with my sleeves.I pulled her face in and kissed her.And again.And again.Before I knew it,morning had come,and we were lying silently,close to each other.She looked at me and kissed my lips very softly.Courtney pressed up against me,the blanket around her.I moved even closer to her,holding her hand."I amor you."We both said at the same time.She giggled.And I smiled,putting my hand on her stomach."Baby...."I whispered quietly.Courtney put her hand on mine."If we're going to have a child,or children someday,we're really going to have to work on this relationship."She sighed."Ah,we will.You'll see"I kissed her cheek.And fell back to sleep in her arms.
