Courtney Fans: What is your Character Interpretation/Analysis for Courtney?

My Interpretation:

Courtney is so weird in her relationship with Duncan and towards the other contestants is because she never had a friend, let alone a boyfriend before the show. Her perfil all but states that Courtney has no friends in her normal life. She only treats Duncan badly in TDA (Two kiwi attacks, trying to change him, unable to tell friendship, as in Duncan and Gwen, from cheating, unreasonable to outrageous rules to make the relationship work) because she doesn't know how a real loving relationship works, and ends up going overboard in her relationship and forcing it into what she thinks is a perfect, loving relationship por trying to plan it out like she does everything else in her life, not realizing that romance does not work that way.

I did a character analysis on Courtney for a denunciar in psychology! But here's my analysis:

We don't know much about her life before TDI. She might have friends back home, even though she talks about anyone from her past that she has a competitive issue with like when she talked about The A-Type Psychotic Crazies or about Tiffany. Other than that, Duncan is possibly her first real boyfriend.

We don't know her reasons why she treats Duncan harshly, but my idea is that she had been hurt in past and is trying everything to prevent that so she won't lose anything. She doesn't want to be considered the weak one.

Courtney can be a sweet girl, but people just to understand her more. Maybe if we get to know mais about her past or what she's really thinking, then people would have different feelings for her. I know she truly cares about Duncan a lot. She stood up for Duncan he was eliminated and worried about him when he was in the plane.

As to her actions after learning about the cheating disaster, she's trying to cope as much as she can. She needs someone to comfort her in her time of need, saying that everything will be fine. Her friends weren't doing that, and the comfort she was given wasn't enough for her. Of course, she was also trying to make Duncan jealous, which as her reason for hitting on Tyler. That's my reason why she ended up having a thing for Alejandro, who's obviously using her in the game as an advantage. She's just in a moment of weakness. Hopefully, she'll be okay.

The closest thing that we got into Courtney's insight for me is Phobia factor in TDI. I got the feeling that she was yelling at everyone to face their fears is because she doesn't know any other way to help them. And then when she failed to complete the challenge she berates herself for being so weak and has to slap herself to keep from crying. It made me realize that underneath her bossy, overconfident attitude is probably a girl who is insecure and doesn't want to be seen as weak. I want to say that she probably has strict parents or parents with high expectations of her and she feels pressured to prove to her parents and everyone else that she is not weak and is actually useful and valuable. Though, I could be wrong, You seem to have mais knowledge of the human psyche so I'll agree with you and hopefully the TDWT special or the fifth season will have mais insight into her past and show her in another light.

I actually wrote about the Phobia Factor thing for my report. And I totally agree with you about Courtney trying to be superior so she would hide the fact that she's weak on the inside.

Uh........It's that Courtney doesn't know what a real relationship is suppose to be(which she does)it's the way her personality is built. Where did you here that Courtney's never been in a relationship?

Courtney's stubborn, and self-confident, so when she sees something or someone not doing something right, she critisizes them, I do it all the time! Duncan likes her of because of her looks, her smarts, her personality, her stubborness(don't all guys do), and many more. But hey, that's just the way she is.

Courtney's not going to change, because of her ego, oh man, I amor her ego. To many people worry about impressing others, Courtney is a perfect example on why not try and change for others. I think thats another reason why Duncan likes Courtney, she has great self-esteem.

I think Courtney is all random! :P.

I know. I just think that there's some reason why she treats people like that, though she is polite and has had her sweet moments. And I can't blame it all on her aleatório moodswings, though we amor her for it. ^-^
