Let’s be honest here: basically every movie sequel song sucks. Still, some of the good songs have lost their way to the sequels. This artigo is about my favorito sequel songs. As captions I used my favorito lines from the song. Let’s start.
10. For A Moment (The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea)
This song always gets to me. It’s just that… erm... I’m not sure. Melody is too enthusiastic for my taste. On the other hand, it’s really good that she’s so enthusiastic. Otherwise the whole song would be ruined. Hard to explain. Still, I really like this song. It’s very inspiring.
9. Athena's Song (The Little Mermaid III: Ariel's Beginning)
The only reason why this movie is on the 9th place is that it’s too short, about 40 seconds. It’s really beautiful, though, and suits Athena. She’s such a warm persona and she radiates her warmth through the song, too. Even Arista and Aquata stop fighting when she’s singing.
So, Athena’s song is very beautiful but too short to mover any higher.
8. Out of Thin Air (Aladdin III: The King of Thieves)
I consider this the only amor song on my list. It’s beautiful and all. It tells us about jasmim and Aladdin’s past and present at the same time. aladdin reveals his feelings for his father’s absence. It’s all so touching. I think Out of Thin Air is not only a amor song; it’s kind of Part of Your World with two people and a few amor confessions.
7. Where Do I Go From Here (Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World)
Again: a very beautiful song. It’s also a song I can relate to, some ways. The reason why this song is on the 6th place is that I don’t amor the melody. But I amor the lyrics so much that I couldn’t put it lower. Overall, a very beautiful song with a not-so-beautiful melody.
6. Perfectly Perfect (Cinderella III: A Twist in Time)
This is a funny, touching and beautiful song. But it gets minus points because of anastasia and Drizella’s voices. So, would it be totally weird if I said that this song makes me so happy though anastasia and Drizella surely don’t sing about happiness? Well, I’ll say it anyways: Perfectly perfect makes me happy.
5. Welcome To the Forty Thieves (Aladdin III: The King of Thieves)
This is a very catching song. I just amor this song. I can’t explain this. I amor villain songs, which might be a major reason. Plus, the atmosphere in the song is very… twisted.
4. Lesson Number One (Mulan II)
The lyrics “One alone is not enough, we need both together” pretty much tells the reason I amor this song so much. I amor all the opposite attract things and this song is about it, kind of. Lesson Number One is very energetic and just so… epic. That’s why I amor it.
3. Put It Together (Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo) (Cinderella II: Dreams Come True)- Ending
I give you the permission to call me crazy after leitura this explanation. I amor this song very, very much because it’s the closest villain-like version of Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo I’ll ever have. I am very well aware that this is not a villain song. I just think that a villain version of Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo would be so awesome! *drools*
2. So Much mais Than a Dream (Cinderella III: A Twist in Time)
I love, love, amor this song! It’s sad at first because Cindy gives up her dreams, sort of. Then she realized that there is a way to make her dreams come true and she’s so happy. I start to cry every single time I listen to that part. So Much mais Than a Dream is such a super beautiful song.
1. I Still Believe (Cinderella III: A Twist in Time) - Ending
Awwwwws, this is beautiful, happy and a bit bittersweet song. I think it’s kind of ironic that I don’t believe in amor (in the romantic way!) but I amor this song especially the part “Oh, I still believe in destiny, that you and I, we’re meant to be”. Well, maybe that’s the very reason. I wish that I’d be able to believe in the romantic-way amor but I don’t. Anyways, this song makes me happy and I’ve loved it ever since cinderela 3 came out. Beautiful.
