A/N#2: This is Chapter 2.
We had been on the sea for a week already, the crew was nice enough, so was the captain. No one had
really been talking, to busy with each individual's dream of what was in Jamestown; Freedom? Riches?
Edward was even mais arrogant then I had thought originally, he walks around everyday with his brother
who I found out was the black haired boy who had been standing seguinte to him. He was ok, but Edward
just got under my skin with his rude comments about my father and how he has a high repuatation.
"Cecily?" I called searching for my sister up on the deck in the warm sunlight. I had been searching for her
all morning and couldnt find her anywhere.
"Over here!" I heard a high voice that I knew well from living with all these years.
"Hey I have been..." I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw who she was talking with, Edward. He smiled at
me as if nothing was wrong as I scowled back at him.
"Im sorry Beth! I had only meant to be up here for a few minutos when Ed and I began talking and we just
didn't realize how fast the time had gone by" My mouth flew wide open and I fought the strong urge to gag at
the name "Ed". Since when had this boy been a friend to my sister?
"Yes I didn't mean to keep her from you Miss Elizabeth" He said cordially as he stood from where he was sitting
on a engradado, caixa of muskets and helped Cecily from her position on the other one.
"Um ok, so this is really...Cecily may I talk to you" The words came out jumbled up and urgent, I was curious as
to what exactly had taken place up until I found them.
"Sure...goodbye Ed" She waved to him before I grasped her tanned hand and pulled her through the door to one
halls away from the deck.
"Ed? Talking? Like civilized talking? What has gotten into you?!" I exclaimed as her beaming face suddenly became
downcast and she heaved a huge sigh running her hand through her golden curls.
"Listen, I know you two don't like each other but he's actually a very nice boy" Cecily told me calmly and confidently,
thats when I noticed the signs.
"You...like him?" I whispered in horror and disbelief disgusted that those words would ever have to come out of my
mouth referring to her and Edward. Cecily blushed a bit at this then closed her eyes.
"Beth you don't understand" She tried to tell me calmly but the anger had built up inside of me.
"He's a jerk! And he's too old for you!" I yelled at her storming back the way I came, ready to face that boy
who had seemed to capture my little sister's heart.
"No! Elizabeth don't mess this up! He's a gentleman and he's fifteen! One ano older then me! Please Please Please!" She
chased me down the hall but I was not budging on this one, I was so mad with her.
I reached the topo, início deck and looked behind me, she had stopped following me. Scanning the people on the topo, início deck
I couldnt find Edward at first then I spotted him with his brother.
"Hey! We need to talk!" I stormed across the deck as all the other crew members quieted down and listened to hear
what I had to say. I quickly found out that some people hadn't believed my denial of the rumors and still thought of me
as a tough as nails kinda girl. I actually was liking that reputation.
"We have nothing to talk about" The arrogant snob stuck his nose in the air and turned from me the blonde hair on
his head gleaming in the sunlight and his hands resting gently on the railing.
"Yeah we do, or atleast you did with my sister" I came to a stop right behind him, my arms crossed and my legs at a
fighting stance. I would never attack the boy, it was just for intimidation.
"I don't have to talk to you about anything" He turned and his eyes flashed angrily at me, I held my position. This boy
would not scare me, especially now that I knew he was a ano younger then me and probably ten times weaker judging
my his scrawny appearance.
"You just listen here and you listen good buddy," I quickly grabbed for a sword that had been resting on a nearby table,
left por it's owner. Again I would never hurt someone, but intimidation never hurt. "You do one thing that hurts my sister
and I promise you will not make it to the new world...got it?" I asked him as I put the tip of the sword close to his throat,
his back resting against the railing as he took his finger and pushed the tip away.
"Whatever you say...Elizabeth" with that he walked inside and left me standing there with nothing but a sword. The crew cheered
but I couldnt tell if it was from my performance or from Edward's bravery.
"I'm sorry about him, Elizabeth" A gentle voice apologized from behind me, I turned and saw that it was the black haired boy, the
brother of Edward.
"Don't worry about it, trust me...it's not your fault" I told him placing the sword back on the mesa, tabela as the crew went back to their
duties.
"Kinda is, he's my younger brother so..." He tried to explain and I completly understood. If Cecily was atuação like a jerk to everyone then
I would also feel accountable.
"Well you seem different from him" I told him surprised, as the wind whipped my hair gently and I heard a slight humming. Not an
annoying humming, almost a beautiuful cantar kind of humming.
"I'm not..." He explained to me, breaking me from my thoughts.
"Oh!" I all of a sudden exclaimed realizing something "I never learned your name!" I told him a bit embarrassed that I had never bothered
to ask.
"Adam" He told me simply sticking out his hand "It's a pleasure to officially meet you, Elizabeth," His smile was friendly and warm, so was his
handshake. I couldn't believe this boy was related to Edward.
"So...you really didn't kill a whoile village of Indians?" He asked me curiously again with a hint of teasing in his voice. I gently shoved him
playfully and walked over the railing placing both my elbows carefully on the slippery wood. Gazing out into the sun, I had to smile.
"No, I would never do that. Truth be told...my mother actually is Indian and I could never do that to her people" I shared with him
truthfully still gazing out at the clear blue sea. It all got sickening after awhile but we still had four months to go until we arrived
in Jamestown.
"I kinda figured that...but not because of what Edward said about you being to frail to do that, you just seem like to good of a person,"
His gentle voice came from beside me and I realized that he was leaning on the railing to, except instead of looking out at sea he was
looking at me and smiling.
"Thanks, I'm glad I dont come off that way. But tell your brother to watch it," I threatened him playfully even if in some ways I meant it. Edward
hurts Cecily and I will find a way to hurt him worse. Maybe not with violence but in some way.
He laughed then his face got serious. " What's your father like? The great Captain John Smith," I got this pergunta a lot, but this one sounded
different. This boy genuinly wanted to know why my father was so great.
"Well...he's fearless and he's always fair, he's not selfish but he is as stubborn as a mule," I laughed at that remembering all the times when I was
younger and wanted to go somewhere. Once my father said no, he meant no and whenever he set his coração to something...he was going to accomplish it.
"I've been told stories about him all my life...my father was on the same barco as him when they were going over to Jamestown, he said that Smith
jumped off the barco in the middle of a storm to save one of the weaklings in the group," Thomas came to mind as he told me this, that was the man
my Father had saved.
"He told me about that once, I havn't heard much about their first trip though" All I knew was that my father had been shot protecting someone but would
never tell me exactly who.
"Neither have I" Adam sighed as his hair playfully danced in the salty sea wind, the boy was cute. I guess he's a ano older then me and atleast five foot ten.
He was muscular but not a gross muscular, it looked like he had worked a lot in England.
I realized the sun was setting and how much time had gone by. "I'm sorry I believe I am having jantar with the captain, he was an old friend of Father's and
wanted Cecily and I to cadastrar-se him tonight," I excused but he only smiled and nodded.
"Ofcourse, you don't need my permission to leave" He teased still deep brown eyes set on the laranja and yellow streaks in the sky. The sunset was truly
beautiful. That was the only thing I loved about being out at sea was watching the last light of the sun slipping over the waters in the horizon.
"I'll be seeing you" I reluctantly told him as I turned on my heel and began walking in the other direction.
"Yes ofcourse Elizabeth" He whispered to me closing his eyes and letting the wind blow in his face.
The boy was flawless if you asked me, but I don't have time for any relationship right now. I have to take care of myself and my sister first before I can worry
about anything else.
A/N#2: Boring Chapter...don't worry the story will pick up and familiar characters will come into the story line. I just had to have a little scene from life at sea.

Her hair reminds me of a golden waterfall. It's really nice to have your hair curled. Also, Aurora's eyes are perfect! tolet, violet color. The rarest eye color. Her lashes are also gorgeous and united. The shape of his payload is oval which is perfect. You are amazing Aurora.
I find Aurora very beautiful, but I can't say I amor her very much because I find her absolutely boring. She knows nothing but dancing, cantar and getting up with a kiss.
