Dungeons & dragões (or D&D for short) is a super fun tabletop, mesa roleplaying game that's been around since the 1970s but has recently gained a fair bit of popularity. I've been playing the game for around eight years at time of writing, and I strongly recommend you give it a try if you ever get the chance. It's really an absolute blast! D&D has always been one of my favorito hobbies, but within the last two years it's become an even bigger part of my life. Since I've been having so much fun with it recently, I decided it was finally time to try something I'd always wanted to do: turning the disney Princesses into D&D characters.

Over the last ano I've been slowly creating D&D characters based off of the DPs, and I spent so much time on them that I really wanted to share them here. I'll be posting a series of articles, one for each DP, in which I explain why I chose the classes, subclasses, etc. for each princess, and share the backstory I wrote for each. I'll also be crossposting these artigos to the D&D club. All the characters will be level 3 to ensure that they all have a chosen subclass. Sourcebooks used to build these characters include the Player's Handbook, Volo's Guide to Monsters, Xanathar's Guide to Everything, and Tasha's Cauldron of Everything.

Since I expect many of you here don't play D&D or maybe even haven't heard of it, I'll begin with the backstory I wrote since you might find that the most interesting. Below the backstory you'll find the mais nitty gritty stats of the characters. Anything written in italics is an author's note explaining my reasoning behind certain character choices.

Elsa

Human Sorcerer - White Draconic Bloodline / Background - Noble

I have been WAITING to get to Elsa in this series. She was one of the characters I was thinking about when I first conceptualized this idea. Seriously, who wouldn't want to play freaking Elsa in a D&D campaign? I had a lot of fun creating her. I chose to make her a sorcerer. As I mentioned in a anterior article, where a character gets their magic determines their spellcasting class. A character that is gifted magic from a patron is a warlock like Cinderella, a character that studies books to obtain arcane knowledge is a wizard like Belle, and if a character is inexplicably born with magic powers they are a sorcerer. From the story of Frozen, that makes the most sense for Elsa. Then of course I wanted to be sure that she would focus on icy cold magic. The best way to do that was to give her the White Draconic Bloodline subclass, meaning that she somehow derives her powers from a white dragon. Silver would have worked as well, but silver dragões are generally good while white dragões are generally evil in D&D, so I thought it would make mais sense that people would fear her powers if they were from a white dragon. All of this of course means that you can ignore all of the lore from Frozen - Uma Aventura Congelante 2 about where Elsa gets her powers. None of that applies here. Like her sister, she was born a princess and thus has the noble background.

Backstory

Backstories have been created with a combination of the stories from the films and rolling randomly on the aleatório tables in the "This Is Your Life" section of Xanathar's Guide to Everything, which is why some of these backstories have some wild things that really come out of left field lol.

I am the first born daughter of King Agnarr and queen Iduna of Arendelle. My early childhood was a happy one, and I was very close with my younger sister Anna. When we weren't playing, I was studying to take on the mantle of queen. I was a curious child and eager to learn, especially about my ancestry, but my parents were always strangely avoidant of that topic.

As I grew, strange things began to occur around me, frost and snow and cold gusts of wind where there shouldn't be any, and the skin on my hands began to peel and take on a strange pearly sheen. One dia Anna and I were playing on the stairs and she tried to slide down the bannister, but nearly fell several feet. In a fit of fear I instinctually released a burst of snowy magic from my hands. The snowdrift I created cushioned her fall, but in the process my uncontrolled magic shattered the windows and struck Anna directly as well, knocking her unconscious and creating a white stripe in her hair.

Terrified, I called for my parents. They swore the servants to secrecy and rushed us into the forest where the trolls were able to use their magic to cure Anna of any ill effects of my magic. In the process though they wiped her memory of the event. The trolls counselled my parents that I should learn to control my powers and that I should hide my hands, which would continue to grow the scales of a white dragon as I aged.

On the ride home, with Anna sleeping peacefully in my mother's arms, our parents finally revealed the truth to me about our heritage. My father's father had made a bargain with a white dragon in exchange for power, but he tried to deceive the creature and witheld the valuable treasure he had promised it. However, he had underestimated the beast's power, and it hunted him down and placed a curse upon the family that once every few generations a child would be born bearing the mark of their bargain, and all would fear and despise them for their power. Now it had chosen to manifest in me.

My parents dismissed most of the palace staff and I became a recluse, confining myself to my room and attempting to smother my powers. Anna was confused por my sudden distance, and continuously tried to reach out to me, but I always brushed her off or found an excuse. I was too afraid my powers might hurt her again, and my parents wanted to keep me away from her anyway.

When I was 18 our parents died tragically in a shipwreck, and Anna and I were left to our own devices. Detailed in our parents wills were their wishes for how we should be cared for. I was to focus on studying to be ruler until my coronation once I turned 21, and Anna was to be married off to the most politically advantageous eligible bachelor.

I knew nothing of marriage, so when a young and handsome suitor came along who brought the first spark of joy to Anna's eyes that I had seen since our parents' deaths, I agreed to the marriage when she stated excitedly that she had chosen him for her husband. They were quickly married and then they left for his kingdom in the Southern Isles. I was not to see or hear from her again for three years, but por all accounts she was happy, and I was content that she finally had the life filled with dresses and parties and royal companions she had always wanted.

At last my 21st birthday and subsequent coronation arrived. I was terrified to be around so many people for the first time in years, but the ceremony went smoothly and the reception started off well. Soon Anna approached me, congratulated me, and to my surprise asked if she could return to Arendelle. Believing that she thought I had turned over a new leaf but knowing that I would return to my reclusive ways as soon as the party had finished, I turned her down. She deserved to live a life filled with parties just like this one, not confined to the silent dark hallways of my palace. She argued though. I didn't want my reunion with her to be filled with animosity like this, so I refused again and turned away, trying to end the discussion. But she grabbed my hand and tore my luva away.

Fear lanced through me that the guests might see the white scales on my hand and I lunged for my glove, unintentionally releasing a blast of icy magic. Everyone froze, and all eyes turned to us. They saw my hand, they saw the magic, and I saw their expressions darken around me as it dawned on them what kind of magic this was. It took only moments for everyone to turn on me.

I fled, Anna running at my heels. We barely escaped with our lives, but we somehow managed it. We made it to the docks, where I was able to convince a friendly foreign sailor who hadn't yet heard about the commotion at the palace to take us aboard. She was a handsome woman with raven hair and pretty lips who hailed from an eastern country. She introduced herself as Shigeko, and with her we sailed away from our kingdom.

We have been living in exile ever since. Anna and I have rekindled our friendship, and we have vowed to no longer keep secrets between each other. She told me of the abuse she suffered in her marriage, and I apologized for allowing her to fall into that situation and vowed she would never have to endure something like that again. She has begun studying the blade, determined to protect me. Meanwhile, I am working on mastering my powers, for the first time allowing myself to really explore what I am capable of.

In our absence, Anna's husband Hans took over the kingdom and has made a complete mess of things. There are reports of unrest and starvation amongst my subjects, and he has garnered the ire of a mighty orc war chief who threatens to overrun and destroy the entire kingdom.

United, the two of us hope to reclaim our homeland, and I look progressivo, para a frente to the dia I can take revenge on the man who roubou my throne. While Anna has taken a dragon as her symbol to showcase her devotion to me, I have secretly sewn myself a black pirate flag with a dragon's skull and crossbones on it. I haven't yet revealed it to her, though I plan to soon. I doubt she will approve, but I am enjoying this life of freedom on the ocean, and my magic is seething for an outlet.

Hehehe perchance a corruption arc? Don't worry Anna will definitely get her back on track eventually. Had a lot of fun with this backstory!

Character Stats

Level 3

STR -1 (9) DEX +1 (13) CON +2 (15) INT +2 (14) WIS 0 (11) CHA +3 (16)

I used the standard array to generate stats. I tried to assign them in a way that would allow for a strong D&D character while still remaining mostly true to the attributes of the character in the film.

HP 23
AC 14
Initiative +1
Speed 30 ft.

Saving throws: Con +4, Cha +5

Skills: Deception +5, History +4, Intimidation +5, Persuasion +5 (For her class skills I gave her Deception and Intimidation. She successfully concealed her powers for most of her life, so deception makes sense, and she's great at intimidating people even if she doesn't always mean to. History and Persuasion were granted por her background.)

Languages: Common, Draconic, Dwarvish, Giant (Same languages as Anna for the same reasons, with the addition of Draconic because of her draconic bloodline.)

Tools: Playing Card Set

Features and Traits

Dragon Ancestor: You have a specific dragon type as your ancestor. You can speak, read, and write Draconic and you double your proficiency bonus for CHA checks involving dragons. - White Dragon

Draconic Resilience: Your max HP increases por 3. When you aren’t wearing armor, your AC equals 14.

Font of Magic: You have 3 sorcery points that you regain when you finish a long rest. You can use your sorcery points to gain additional spell slots or sacrifice spell slots to gain additional sorcery points as a bonus action.

Metamagic: You gain the ability to twist spells to suit your needs.
- Twinned Spell: You can spend sorcery points equal to a spell's level (1 for a cantrip) to target a segundo creature in range with the same spell, as long as the spell at the level it's being cast is incapable of targeting mais than one creature.
- Transmuted Spell: When you cast a spell that deals a type of damage from the following list, you can spend 1 sorcery point to change that damage type to one of the other listed types: acid, cold, fire, lightning, poison, thunder. (I gave her this one in case the player wants to take any spells that aren't ice or snow related, so they can then twist them to fit the flavor of her character.)

Spells

Modifier: +3
Spell Attack: +5
Save DC: 13

Cantrips (at will): Frostbite, Mage Hand, raio, ray of Frost, Shape Water
1st (4 slots): Ice Knife, Shield
2nd (2 slots): Dragon's Breath, Snilloc's Snowball Swarm

I of course tried very hard to give her only ice and snow related spells, with the addition of a couple utility spells like Mage Hand and Shield that could be possible with her powers. I imagine Mage Hand for her would look like a flurry of snow in the vague shape of a hand, and Shield would be a sudden mural of ice appearing in front of her.

Actions

Crossbow, Light: +3 to hit, 1d8+1 piercing damage

Dagger: +3 to hit, 1d4+1 piercing damage

Sorcery Points: You have 3 sorcery points that you regain when you finish a long rest.

Bonus Actions

Convert Sorcery Points: You can use your sorcery points to gain additional spell slots or sacrifice spell slots to gain additional sorcery points as a bonus action.

That's it for Elsa! I hope you enjoyed reading. If you have any perguntas or opinions I'd amor to hear them in the comments! See you tomorrow with another princess~

Just a heads up there's going to be a lot of sad personal stuff brought up so if you don't want to read this that's totally understandable.

Today's rewatch: Moana

How much did I like this movie when it came out?

I had some reservations about this movie because I didn't know for sure if it was going to be good especially since I hadn't seen too much stuff about it. But after hearing How Far I'll Go I knew I wanted to watch this movie even if it was just to hear that song on the big screen. My husband and I saw it for my birthday and even though the villain twist...

Of course, we all have our faves and we feel a certain way when our favorito princesses are getting criticized. For me, I do feel like Tiana gets quite a bit of flack, some deserved but some is quite overboard. For example, people call Tiana mean and even ruthless for simply doing what raio, ray tells her por leaving him to fight off the shadows por himself but if she went against his orders, you know that would be yet another opportunity for people to call her condescending. So I'm just gonna counter some complaints against Tiana.

Human Tiana is mais likable than frog Tiana.
Not really gonna disagree...

Favorite Belle
O 4
R 3

Both versions of Belle are fine, but there is something about both of them that people amor that makes them prefer one over the other. The people who picked original Belle grew up with Paige O'Hara's voice who put her coração and soul in her role as Belle, and then the people who picked remake Belle like that she's an inventor. One user said they prefered original Belle because they didn't like Emma's atuação and compared to Paige Emma was pretty wooden and even with any positive changes made to her Belle bad atuação can ruin...

I know Frozen - Uma Aventura Congelante isn't part of the disney Princess franchise but this movie was on the list of filmes to watch for months before I finally started doing these artigos so please just go with it. Or don't read it. Whichever keeps things drama free.

Tonight's rewatch: Frozen

How much did I like this movie as a kid?
I was 20 going on 21 when this movie was released in theaters so I wasn't exactly a kid, mais like a kid at heart. I wasn't excited about this movie at the time and it didn't help when disney released childrens books that spoiled the plot, including the Hans spoilers,...

I'm on a villain appreciation kick right now and since the blatant drainage of all the charisma from his character in the remake is still fresh in my memory I figured I'd give Gaston some props. Some people would call him a lame villain but I actually think he's really cool and these are some reasons why.

He's Hans from Frozen - Uma Aventura Congelante done right. Subversion of disney trends is the name of the game in modern DP films, but like I've been saying, disney Princess filmes have been subverting and reinventing themselves before disney Princess even became a brand. In the Little Mermaid, the princess rescues...

 No ones audition like Gaston!
No ones audition like Gaston!
Hi guys, since I had put this artigo in the Beauty and the Beast page. So, here are my choices for those who have not read the artigo yet and for your convenience! This artigo is basically on what would really happen if Luke Evans hadn't gotten the part of muscular narcissist bully.

1. Tom Burke

Yes, Alan Rickman's godson who played Roland and Bentley Drummle in Dragon Heart: A New Beginning and the 2011 miniseries Great Expectations respectively. From these 2 roles, he could the arrogant Gaston!

2. Colin Farrell

This Irish bad boy really is the ideal Gaston, his voice is gruffy and I bet...

Hello ! I thought a list of the DPs and what I like/dislike about them would be a good way to introduce myself to this club, so here it is ! Making this list, I was surprised at how difficult it was. I have a few princesses I dislike, but I really amor most of them and it was hard to class them all. Some of them seem too low when I look at their rank, but then when I actually try to put them higher I realize I amor the ones above just as much !

N°11: ARIEL

One of the only two princesses I actually dislike. She's a spoiled child who only thinks of herself, which would be fine if it was supposed...

Forgive me if I’m too poor at it. I am 99.9% sure about it! Sorry or not sorry, these fãs remind me of disney Princesses!

Ariel

•    Princesslullaby
I can’t help it! She just seems like she’s the real life Ariel. Sweet, spirited and reckless, she def is like that mermaid! Both of them are so spunky, Valente and vibrant. Both of them are so straight-forward, sassy and really cute! OMG, They’re so strikingly familiar.

Snow White

All Dp films are nice. We can’t say anything absolutely bad, each film has something that stunned us. I am being impartial. Yea, each DP film has at least one thing that I love.

•    Snow white and the seven dwarves

1.    The queen is my most attractive female villain. Sorry Snow white, but I think the queen was mais beautiful than her. Her luscious red lips and seductive eyes! She’s sexy!

2.    The huntsman is my most handsome DP villain human sidekick! Nothing to say!

•    Cinderella
