Dungeons & dragões (or D&D for short) is a super fun tabletop, mesa roleplaying game that's been around since the 1970s but has recently gained a fair bit of popularity. I've been playing the game for around eight years at time of writing, and I strongly recommend you give it a try if you ever get the chance. It's really an absolute blast! D&D has always been one of my favorito hobbies, but within the last two years it's become an even bigger part of my life. Since I've been having so much fun with it recently, I decided it was finally time to try something I'd always wanted to do: turning the disney Princesses into D&D characters.

Over the last ano I've been slowly creating D&D characters based off of the DPs, and I spent so much time on them that I really wanted to share them here. I'll be posting a series of articles, one for each DP, in which I explain why I chose the classes, subclasses, etc. for each princess, and share the backstory I wrote for each. I'll also be crossposting these artigos to the D&D club. All the characters will be level 3 to ensure that they all have a chosen subclass. Sourcebooks used to build these characters include the Player's Handbook, Volo's Guide to Monsters, Xanathar's Guide to Everything, and Tasha's Cauldron of Everything.

Since I expect many of you here don't play D&D or maybe even haven't heard of it, I'll begin with the backstory I wrote since you might find that the most interesting. Below the backstory you'll find the mais nitty gritty stats of the characters. Anything written in italics is an author's note explaining my reasoning behind certain character choices.

Belle

Human Wizard - Order of Scribes / Background - Guild Artisan

Yay time for my favorito princess! <3 Belle's whole thing is that she's a bookworm. What's the most bookish D&D class? Wizards, of course! Scholarly magic users who never keep their spellbooks far from their reach. Then I had the conundrum of deciding which of the many many wizard subclasses I should make her. I decided to go with the most bookish of them all - the Order of Scribes - wizards who amor books so much that they literally bring their spellbooks to life. Given that Belle's story revolved around a lot of talking objects that just felt too perfect. For her background I thought that Belle might have helped out her father with his tinkering, so I gave her the guild artisan background.

Backstory

Backstories have been created with a combination of the stories from the films and rolling randomly on the aleatório tables in the "This Is Your Life" section of Xanathar's Guide to Everything, which is why some of these backstories have some wild things that really come out of left field lol.

I had an unusual beginning to my life. I was born at início to Agnez and Maurice Durand. My mother left us when we were very young, and my father does not like to speak of her. I know nothing of why she abandoned us.

My father and I lived a modest life in a small house on the edge of a provincial town. He was a clever man, though many considered him odd or even crazy. A member of the Tinker's Guild, he was always tinkering away at his inventions, and he trained me to help him at his work. When I was 15 I was inducted as a member of the guild as well.

My father believed education was important for all children, regardless of gender, so he taught me my letters and arithmetic from an early age. Once I knew how to read, I always had my nose in a book. I desperately desired to go on my own adventure, like the ones in the novels. In particular, I was encantada por the idea of magic and wizards, and I hoped one dia to learn the craft myself.

The town we lived in was rather old-fashioned, and most people believed it wasn't right for women to read. As such, I was seen as different and strange, so I had few friends. I was very close with my father as a result of this.

Through a strange series of events, my father was captured por a fearsome beast who lived in an encantada castelo deep in the forest. I found him, and traded my life for his. A single encantada rose counted down the remaining time to break his curse, and I was fascinated. As the months went by, I began to know the beast better and grew to care for him and eventually amor him. My amor broke the curse that had been placed upon him as a child, and returned him and his entire palace staff to their true forms. He was, in fact, a handsome prince named Adam.

I was happy with Adam, but still desired adventure as I always had, and though palace life was comfortable it was not particularly stimulating.

One day, while perusing the castelo library, I discovered a beautiful gilt-edged tome that contained strange arcane markings. Immediately my mind went to the wizards of the books I'd so loved my whole life, and I set about decoding whatever was written therein. Through careful study of the few other books on magic in the library's collection I was able to decipher some of what was written, and even able to cast a couple simple cantrips.

Desperate to know more, I applied to the Order of Scribes, a wizarding school, and was accepted. Adam and my father saw my off with well wishes and tears in my eyes, but I knew that this was my true calling and I went without regret.

I applied myself rigorously to my studies and advanced quickly. My professors have told me I have great promise, and I privately hope to become the greatest wizard of our age.

I recently returned to the palace during a break in my schooling to discover my father's workshop destroyed and Adam nowhere to be found. Whoever the assailant was left only a small multicolored stone disc in the spot where Adam's encantada rose had once stood.

I have set out in procurar of whoever destroyed my father's livelihood and roubou my lover from me, and I intend to rain down the full strength of my wrath upon them.

Another story that I didn't feel the need to change much~

Character Stats

Level 3

STR -1 (9) DEX 0 (11) CON +2 (15) INT +3 (16) WIS +1 (13) CHA +2 (14)

I used the standard array to generate stats. I tried to assign them in a way that would allow for a strong D&D character while still remaining mostly true to the attributes of the character in the film.

HP 20
AC 10
Initiative 0
Speed 30 ft.

Saving throws: Int +5, Wis +3

Skills: Arcana +5, Insight +3, Perception +3, Persuasion +4 (For her class skills I gave her Arcana and Insight. I thought that given her curiosity she would try to learn everything she could about magic, and she's clearly insightful since she was able to see beneath the Beast's rough exterior. Persuasion was granted por her background, and then I got to choose one more. I went with perception because she comes across to me as fairly perceptive of the world around her.)

Languages: Common, Elvish, Gnomish (Since her father's a tinker and gnomes are famous for their tinkering skills I wouldn't be surprised if she had spent some time around gnomes and spoke at least conversational Gnomish. She also seems like the type who might romanticise elves for their mystery and majesty and learn Elvish just for fun.)

Tools: Tinker's Tools

Features and Traits

Arcane Recovery: Once per dia when you finish a short rest, you can choose expended spell slots to recover - up to a combined level of 2, and none of the slots can be 6th level or higher.

Awakened Spellbook: While you are holding your Awakened Spellbook, it grants you the following benefits:
- You can use the book as a spellcasting focus for your wizard spells.
- When you cast a wizard spell with a spell slot, you can temporarily replace its damage type with a type that appears in another spell in your spellbook.
- When you cast a wizard spell as a ritual, you can use the spell’s normal casting time. You regain use of this feature when you finish a long rest.

Spells

Modifier: +3
Spell attack: +5
Save DC: 13

Cantrips (at will): Light, Mage Hand, raio, ray of Frost
1st level (4 slots): Charm Person, Detect Magic, Feather Fall, Illusory Script, Mage Armor, Magic Missile, Sleep
2nd level (2 slots): Suggestion

Tbh I mostly just gave her the suggested starter spells cuz I was starting to get lazy at this point lol

Actions

Dagger: +2 to hit, 1d4 piercing damage

Bonus Actions

Wizardly Quill: As a bonus action, you can magically create a Tiny quill in your free hand. The magic quill has the following properties:
- The quill doesn’t require ink. When you write with it, it produces ink in a color of your choice on the composição literária surface.
- The time you must spend to copy a spell into your spellbook equals 2 minutos per spell level if you use the quill for the transcription.
- You can erase anything you write with the quill if you wave the feather over the text as a bonus action, provided the text is within 5 feet of you.
This quill disappears if you create another one or if you die.

That's it for Belle! I hope you enjoyed reading. If you have any perguntas or opinions I'd amor to hear them in the comments! See you tomorrow with another princess~
disney sequels. The base-breakers of the disney fandom. Some amor them, some hate them. Some think they bring new perspectives to beloved characters, while others think they ruthlessly destroy and twist every aspect of the original movie. Well, one thing must be admitted: they were made with the intent to leite mais money for the franchise. But does that make all of them necessarily bad? No, but it does not make for a good start, really.

I think "The encantada Christmas" is proof of this. Having seen it yesterday, I can attest it has a lot of "pros" and "cons", which makes for a mixed bag. So...

In honor of Mothers’ Day, I decided to do an artigo ranking my favorito disney Princess mothers… I know it’s a bit late, but I wanted to make sure I had it worded perfectly! I didn’t include Evil Queen, Lady Tremaine, and Mother Gothel because they are not the biological mothers of the princesses… and I thought it would be fairly obvious where they’d rank. Some of my opinions are going to be quite unpopular, but I hope we can agree to politely disagree.

7. queen Elinor

I know this is going to be an unpopular opinion, but I really dislike Elinor. While I do believe she loves...

Before you read the lyrics, you should know that I'm doing this from the male perspective because I myself am a guy. Also, originally I had lyrics from Demi Lovato's version but I decided to editar those out and some parts that are a little wordy. Help with the wordy lyrics was done por kristenfan10109. I hope you enjoy it!

The moon glows bright on the ocean tonight
Not a footprint in the sand
A whole world of isolation,
And it looks like I'm the king.

The waves are calm unlike this emotional storm inside
Couldn't keep it in, heaven knows I tried!

Don't let them in, don't let them see
Be...

It's been a while since I last wrote this list so I decided to write it again, it's been changing a slight bit since the last time, anyway hope you'll like this article

13. Aurora

I really amor Aurora and I do think she's brave, just not as much as the other princesses above. Her bravest moment is when she chooses to leave the cottage with the fadas instead of staying there and waiting for Phillip

12. Jasmine

I placed jasmim higher than Aurora because jasmim is outspoken which makes her a slight bit mais brave, but like Aurora she doesn't actually have a lot of Valente moments. Her...

As the girls continued to walk home, mulan began to feel some minor pain in her abdomen. She thought it was just a cramp from all that climbing she did. "Are you alright, Mulan?" Pocahontas asked. "Yeah. Just a cramp." mulan answered. "I hope it's nothin' serious." Merida replied. "It's not. The baby might be growing." mulan replied. Pocahontas and Merida just smiled at her thought.

However, the pain only progressed the seguinte morning. mulan held her stomach lightly as she got out of bed. To make matters worse, Shang noticed. He rushed out of cama to be at his love's side. "Are you OK?" he asked....

I can relate to these words on some levels.
I can relate to these words on some levels.
As queen Elsa is exposed to the dangers of her magic, her magic begins to grow into an uncontrollable force that she fears will bring ruin to everything she touches. This vivid imagery not only presents the audience with an interesting story development,it actually exemplifies and alludes to what an individual feels when experiencing anxiety and depression. If we take Elsa's magic to be a physical representation of anxiety and depression her journey to learn to control her powers reflects well the journey many people undergo when they experience anxiety or depression.
Elsa is the direct cause...

I've seen these artigos around and I got the urge to do one myself. They seem so fun! And of course I'll give you the links so you can enjoy the música and maybe even get down with your funky self. ANYWAY before I get too crazy let's hit the music!

Snow White - Love Story por Taylor Swift

One song, I have but one song, one song that is perfect for Snow White. Not to diss my beloved Snow White, but I usually associate her with the classic amor story, cantar about a prince and how he'll carry her away and though her motives aren't always because of her prince ideal I feel that she always...
