Ella and Kit, together!!

Hi everyone, I have decided to write about what I like and didn't like about both versions of Cinderella. If you guys disagree with me, I don't mind. In the bold bracket, is the one I like.

The Prologue

In the 1950 version, we only saw cinderela and her father with their pets. Unfortunately, he only gets a few minutos of screen-time and there were no interaction between the two because I felt that the whole prologue was just rush. We don't know how close the bond is between cinderela and her dad.
In the 2015 version, for the first time we got to see her mother as well and Ella, including her dad. Her dad has mais screen-time with Ella than the 1950 version. (2015 version)

Lady Tremaine, anastasia and Drizella

In the 1950 version, the 2 stepsisters are way scarier than their live-action counterparts, especially the part where they tore of Cinderella's rosa, -de-rosa dress. That scene makes me upset and terrified, in the 2015 reboot, I was expecting that to happen but did not and it was Lady Tremaine who did it instead and in a less-terrifying way. (1950 version)
Speaking of Lady Tremaine, the two are them are equally evil. Especially when her live-action version, although I actually prefer the latter as she has mais evilness in her, that's mainly on how Cate Blanchett portrayed her. (tied)

Prince Charming, the King and the Grand Duke

I was very happy that the three of them, especially Kit because he gets to mais screen-time. He also gets to meet Ella before the Grand Ball, in the 1950 version, he also has less screen-time. (2015 version)
The King's personality is a contrast to his animated version, because he succumbed to a serious illness. He's not hotheaded and is very gentle with everyone, especially his relationship with his only son. Sadly, he died with his son looking and crying on his deathbed. (tied)
For the first time ever, we get to see the Grand Duke plotting and conspiring the trono to give Lady Tremaine and her daughters. He reminds me a lot of Hans in a way, because they're known for plotting. In fact, they should sing 'Love is an Open Door'. (2015 version)

The animals

One of the things I was very disappointed about the live-action reboot was the absence of Bruno the dog, he was very close with Ella and I think he should also be included in it. But on the other hand, the mice has less screen-time in it. (tied)

The Royal Wedding

I would have to say the wedding in the 1950 version was like the 2011 Royal Wedding, but in the live-action version, it was like Grace Kelly's wedding to Prince Rainier of Monaco, Ella's dress was very elegant and very detailed with the decorations.
We also get a chance to see Kit's mother on the portrait when they made their vows. They also became the country's favourite and well-loved monarch! (2015 version)

Conclusion

While the majority is the live-action version, I still considered the 1950 version to be a classic indeed. It will live on for generations to come!

rzenteno I love both of theme and is what you mean about the 1950 animated classic. that film didn't kwite show about her childhood like we all didn't saw her mother but I don't blame theme but they did give us great characters. In the 2015 version they given us her backstory that her real name is Ella before the evil stepmother and stepsisters change her name and they show us about her beautiful mother. and i agree with you about the stepmother when you said " I wanna SLAP YOU! Lady Tremaine!! " she like the best Disney villain of all time along with Cruella, Frollo and like a Batman Villian and James bond.

disneymagic93 Very good article, I know this article is pretty old but I didn't get a chance to read it till now. I much prefer the 2015 version because it didn't focus so much on the mice like the animated film did & the prince in the 2015 version was much more developed. However, I agree with you that Bruno that should have been in the 2015 version but other than that the 2015 version is much better than the 1950 version. The 1950 version is one of my least favorite Disney animated films.

Ariel is my favorito disney Princess. Thus, I find it stupid for some fanbrats from some disney message boards (not this site, just Internet Movie Database and other disney forums) to bash Ariel all because she is not like the other girls, especially Belle.

Complaint 1: Ariel loved Eric for his looks!
My Defense: Ariel fell in amor with Eric because he was a nice guy. Remember the scene where Grimsby presented the statue to Eric to him? Ever wondered why Eric didn't like it? Because the statue made him looked pompous and snobby-which Eric isn't! Even Chris Barnes and my brother said so!

14. Snow White (snow white)

Im sorry but she’s just not very attractive in my opinion. I think in real life she would be pretty, but they made her weird, she has a 7 ano olds body, a odd shaped face which in some shots can be cute, but in most make her look like she has a double chin. Also the 2 spots on her cheeks are supposed to be blush, but it looks really weird. Her smile is creepy and while i like the hairstyle they were going for, it no geral, global looks like a wig.

According to each of my articles, you can conclude that I like the classics less than the modern ones. But still, that doesn't mean I HATE the classics, on the contrary, I do amor them. They just pale in comparison to the moderns. My favorito classic and renaissance princesses are Ariel and Belle. I like these two, but it is a pity that they are inferior to modern ones.

Snow White has never been pretty to me. Princesses like Elsa, Anna, Aurora and Belle have always been beautiful to me. Snow White was the ugliest to me, the ugliest. Even uglier than princesses like Merida, Mulan, and Kida. I don't understand how they call Snow White "the fairest of all people" in the movie.

Things that make Snow White ugly:

Snow White's neck looks combined with her head.

The shape of Snow White's hair is so ugly, it's like a cotton doces that doesn't look realistic at all.

BB2010 watches Legend of Mor'Du

For those of you who don't know/remember Legend of Mor'Du was a short that was included on the Valente dvd. It started out like how Elinor explained it to Merida; the King leaves the kingdom to his 4 sons to rule together instead of leaving it all to the oldest, the oldest starts a war, and the entire kingdom falls to ruin. The short explains how Mor'Du met the witch and became a urso and what happened after.
