In honor of Mothers’ Day, I decided to do an artigo ranking my favorito disney Princess mothers… I know it’s a bit late, but I wanted to make sure I had it worded perfectly! I didn’t include Evil Queen, Lady Tremaine, and Mother Gothel because they are not the biological mothers of the princesses… and I thought it would be fairly obvious where they’d rank. Some of my opinions are going to be quite unpopular, but I hope we can agree to politely disagree.

7. queen Elinor

I know this is going to be an unpopular opinion, but I really dislike Elinor. While I do believe she loves Merida and wants to do right por her, she goes about it in such a demanding way that it overshadows any good intentions she had. A lot of people point fingers at Merida for trying to change her mother and not understanding her point of view, but I think Elinor does the same thing. For the first half of the movie, she’s constantly reprimanding Merida for not atuação ladylike and pushes her to go along with an arranged marriage with little consideration for her wishes. The closest she comes to putting herself in Merida’s place is when she and Fergus are roleplaying, and she mentions she too “had reservations” about marriage. Most people believe she was atuação for the good of the kingdom (and she was, to an extent), but I think there’s an element of selfishness in a mother who would want to change her child to fit society’s expectations. While Elinor did eventually come around, it takes being turned into a urso and having to depend on Merida for survival for her to see that she doesn’t need to change, so I think that begs the question: Would Elinor have ever accepted Merida without such drastic measures being taken?

6. queen of Corona

I hope people won’t be alarmed por her low ranking. I don’t dislike her at all. The only reason she’s here is because she doesn’t get enough screen time for the audience to get much insight into her personality and relationship with her daughter. That said, in the time she appears, she seems to be a caring, hopeful person. She kept the hope of being reunited with Rapunzel alive por lighting lanterns ano after year, and when that finally happened, in a true example of mother’s intuition, she knew her immediately.

5. Fa Li

I have mixed feelings about Fa Li. On the one hand, I think she, at least on some level, wanted mulan to change herself to fit the mold of a perfect bride, and that bothers me a bit. Though in her defense, I think she realized her mistake the moment mulan ran away (which was fairly early on) and was genuinely sorry for wanting to change her. Despite that, Fa Li shows faith in mulan and encourages her in any way, such as giving her the flor comb before her meeting with the matchmaker, and that’s what I admire most about her.

4. queen Leah

I’ve always liked her, even when I was a little kid, and I wish I could mover her even higher. Like the queen of Corona, she doesn’t get much screen time, but it’s enough for her kind, motherly nature to show. She tries to protect Aurora from Maleficent’s curse and welcomes her back with open arms in the end, but the thing I amor most about Leah is that she loved Aurora enough to give her up for sixteen years. She could’ve chosen to keep Aurora at her side under lock and key for fear of the cures, but instead, she wanted her to live a happy life, even if it meant she wouldn’t be a part of it.

3. queen Athena

I’ve always loved Athena. In fact, she used to be my favorito DP mother before the modern princesses existed. She encouraged her daughters to pursue their passion for música and seemed fairly playful and laid-back; she’d probably have to be since she was able to bring out a softer, mais fun side of Triton. It’s hard to pick just one thing I like most about Athena, but I have a huge amount of respect for her selflessness. She went back to free Attina's fin from the rock when she was trapped, and she was willing to put her life on the line to go back for a gift from her husband.

2. queen Idun

Admittedly, I’m biased toward Idun because she’s the one who reminds me most of my own mother. My mom looked a lot like her and had a similar quiet, submissive personality, and like queen Idun, she suffered an untimely death. That aside, I don’t believe Idun is the horrible mother many people make her out to be. While isolating Elsa wasn’t the best way to teach her to control her powers, the idea to do so was not Idun’s but her husband’s. I think she just went along with it, not out of desire to change Elsa or fear of her powers, but because she was afraid she’d lose one or both of her daughters if she didn’t.

1. Eudora

This is the one placement I think most people will agree with. I have nothing but good things to say about Eudora. She puts Tiana first in all she does and works hard to provide a good life for her. She’s supportive of Tiana’s dream but also encourages her to take a break and socialize every once in a while because she knows that friends and family are just as important as ambitions. That said, I think my favorito thing about Eudora is that she isn’t afraid to be honest with Tiana. She’ll tell her when she thinks she’s wrong but doesn’t go about it in a stern or domineering way. She’s just the right balance between strict and easy going, and I think she’s the closest the DP filmes have come to a perfect mother.

First we want to start with our opinion on each DP era.

Classic- The Classic girls were obedient, kind, and good natured. They were seen as good-willed and kindhearted, while having...

Elsa, is my favorito DP currently and I thought of showing my opinions about her.

We first meet Elsa when she is sleeping and Anna wakes her because "the sky is awake" and they have to play.
She first hesitates and tells her to play por herself but when her sister asks her to build a snowman she can't resist.
This part shows Elsa's personality before being isolated. We can see that she is the elder sister and tends to act mais mature and calm, but she enjoys being with her sister and shows her playful side.
And we can also see that she isn't afraid of her powers and likes to use them.
"Shshshsh!!! Anna, can't you stay calm for a minute?"
"Shshshsh!!!...

A pesquisa was recently made about who was the most selfish DP, and I was shocked and annoyed at what people were saying about Elsa (and Merida... But I guess I may have to make that artigo later) being selfish.

I know this point is already being debated on the poll, so some may find it a bit repetitive to read this, but I wanted to make a really detailed examination about Elsa and her 'selfishness'.

One argument I read was: "in the beginning part when she forbids Anna to marry him, it's just because she doesn't want to see Anna have fun with others while she is alone in her own sadness...."....

If most of you like me have grown up with The Little Mermaid and have followed the filmes and TV shows, I think you realize when it comes to the story of the rebellious redhead from under the sea, it's not completely there.

Now I didn't see The Little Mermaid in theaters, but a lot of you did. It after all was the highest grossing animated film at that time. And of course, you all loved it. So when you found out that disney was making an animated series about the movie, you of course were very excited. I myself grew up watching the series on VHS's and one of the VHS's I owned was "In Harmony."...

Lately my obsession for Pocahontas is growing, and although I've already made a "Why I Love" artigo for her, I just really wanted to write something else for her. The artigo will be a scene-by-scene review, so I'll start from the beginning and talk about every scene she's in till the end, so this artigo might get pretty lengthy. Anyways, I hope you enjoy :)

We first see Pocahontas up on a cliff thinking. I amor how Pocahontas thinks things through and isn't at all impulsive. We then see her dive off the cliff, as opposed to going down the safer way. This shows Pocahontas's adventurous side...
