 They've really changed these girls...
They've really changed these girls...
I saw that this countdown was done with the old designs, and I thought it would be fun to do it with the redesigns! Of course, this was a lot of fun because- well everyone knows these redesigns look nothing like the film characters did.

10. Cinderella
I think everybody knew cinderela would be the first to go. Everything about her look was changed. They gave her a very different face, an entirely new hairdo, and a dress that barely resembles the one that was used in her marketing before- which barely resembled the one in the movie. People said they made her look Barbie-fied and she looks nothing like she did in the movie. Suffice it to say she doesn’t resemble her movie-self at all.

No doubt about it. Her hair is lighter, she is paler, her hair is in a complete different hairstyle, her eyes and nose has been stylized, she has a completely different dress, and it is blue. She does not looking the 1950 Cinderella.- Jayden-G
Anyway, in one word: inaccurate. She is so much less pretty than the real Cinderella, and has none of her subtle beauty.- AllegroGiocoso
They just destroyed EVERYTHING that was unique about the character and made her into a bimbo-Barbiefied mess.- Mongoose09
 ......Unrecognizable
......Unrecognizable

9. Aurora
Another of the classics to go. Aurora’s hair and face were both changed. Aurora’s hair was a different color and the curls were changed, as well as giving her different bangs. People said she looks like a barbie doll, and that they don’t like the pattern on the front part of the dress.

They suck every bit of what made the character out of her...Aurora in the movie has style, she looks very regal. That's...just horrible. The way her eyes look (yeah, I know, similar to the last design, but still not her features), the awful hooker hair, it's not quite as bad as with Cinderella, but they turned a graceful character into a barbie doll.- Swanpride
Why did they have to change her signature hair?! I loved her hair before, I dislike it now. I also miss her triangular dress. I don't like the patterned strip in the middle of the dress. The eyes look different somehow. The whole design is over the top.- PrincessAyeka12
My problem is her face and hair-they are so different! This Aurora lacks grace and although the pointed chin in the original is fixed, the changes in general are for the worst.- Popcornfan
She had the gift of beauty before, now she has the gift of Matel design
She had the gift of beauty before, now she has the gift of Matel design

8. Mulan
Most people agreed mulan was pretty unrecognizable. People said her hair was longer, thicker, in a style never seen in the movie, her complexion was paler or ashen, her face shape was different, and, of course, her dress is a new one. Every aspect of her appearance has changed.

Anyone who's ever seen the movie mulan knows that this is just a ridiculous depiction. The never before seen hairstyle and made-up dress are the complete opposite of her look/character. All the makeup looks ridiculous. Her face is shaped different (it honestly looks mais masculine), they made it mais angular and she looks so horrible. Poor mulan :(- jainabieber7
I wouldn't even know that this WAS mulan if I saw this picture on its own without knowing that it was part of the DP lineup redesigns beforehand.- Mongoose09
She looks to squinty and very artificial. Her eyes are much smaller and makes her face looks tiny and scrunched up. instead of her hair being pure black like her natural self it is blueish black and much thicker which does not look pretty with a squinty face. Her facial structure is designed differently too. But the main thing that makes her look inaccurate is her make up. Her make up was originally glowing white now it is too glossy and pale. Eww! Just Eww! Her dress is lovely, but her no geral, global hair change and everything else makes her look inaccurate. We went from a simple and natural Asian Beauty to a glossy artificially drawn mess up. It's not her at all.- shanyuisboss
She just doesn't look right so blatantly feminising her
She just doesn't look right so blatantly feminising her

7. Pocahontas
Pocahontas’s outfit is definitely one of the most changed of the DPs, if not the most changed. People hated her changed dress and the boots they added, as well as all of the jewelry. People also said her face was changed.

Her facial structure is off, she has way to much bling, and the accessories are a bit much and non-existent in the original (except for her mothers necklace.) I wouldn't mind her redesign so much if her face looked mais like her.- auroraxaurelia
Oh lord, the feathers.... oh lord, the butchered colar and OH LORD THE BOOTS.- Mongoose09
She's quite changed. I don't remember that many changes in Rapunzel.- BelleAnastasia
They've never gotten her right on merchandise, I'm giving up trying
They've never gotten her right on merchandise, I'm giving up trying

6. Ariel
Ariel’s dress is another one nonexistent in the movie. She also has seashell earrings that are never seen in the movie. People also said Ariel’s hair was mais curled than in the movie. They also said her face shape was different in the movie than it is in the redesign.

I don't know why she just looks wrong to me. I'm not even sure why she looks so off, there's just something about her face, her hair, her body, just something that makes me think that's not Ariel.- Jessikaroo
Ariel´s hair looks different and her face too. The dress is beautiful but she never used it. I think I have seen that Rapunzel version before.- CodyVenusTrent
Hair, face, outfit - everything is different, compared to her original design.- BelleAnastasia
We've gotten rid of all of our new wardrobes
We've gotten rid of all of our new wardrobes

5. Rapunzel
People had a lot to say about Rapunzel. They didn’t like the way her hair looked, they said it was a bright yellow color and looked like it was a blanket and not strands of hair. They didn’t like the added shoes, or her eyes. Also, they didn’t like the change to her dress and all the added glitter. However, some did say that, for a 3D-2D conversion, she doesn’t look too bad.

I think Rapunzel doesn't look too different for a 3D to 2D conversion... it's obvious she's not going to look exactly the same... she could look much worse IMO.- Mongoose09
Like I said, she is unrecognizable. Her facial features are extremely off from the original, she is much paler, her dress is a much, much darker purple than in the movie (her dress is actually light purple to pink), her hair is too thick and a weird yellow colour. She looks younger than Snow White, which does not help her original youthful appearance.- Jayden-G
look at her! Don't know what to say about this! First of all, instead of her wearing no shoes, she wears flats. Her dress in the movie is a much darker shade of purple. In the redesign, it's very bright and fun while in the movie it's detailed and dark. Her dress in the movie is also full of details of renda, rendas, laço and fancy designs. In the redesign, it's all glittery and sparkly and only has a bit of renda, rendas, laço on the top. It was made of a very smooth material but in the redesign her dress looks childish and is dunked in sparkles. Her hair had a ton of strands and looked very realistic. It was parted and was much smoother and silkier. Now her hair is just looks like a long blanket of bright childish yellow. It would've been realistic and golden with strands of brown. Her face is MUCH paler and looks mais white while in the movie it was fair. Her eyes lost it's depth and is now just plain and cartoony. She just looks like the designers focused on the glitter and glam and they lost her real beauty. not to mention, she went from CGI to 2-D animation. I hate this redesign- shanyuisboss
As far as the 2013 redesign, she looks the same (just glittery). As far as the movie, she looks completely different.- alexon31
 Remember, she's a conversion
Remember, she's a conversion

4. Jasmine
jasmim is the same basic idea, but everything’s been morphed. They’ve changed her hairstyle from a ponytail with multiple gatherings to a typical ponytail (with that strand of hair.) Her outfit has been changed (what is that thing hanging from the bra?) and, like all the others, given a thick layer of glitter. Her face has also changed, and people said she looked a lot younger.

Okay, I am just going to say I hate this redesign first. Anyway, she looks way different! Her outfit was a very soft texture and silky but now it's glittery, ruffly, and too fancy. Before, her outfit was a very soft kind of baby blue (well, not really, but similar). Now her color is like a glittery and sparkly ocean blue. Those ruffly things on the sides just come out of nowhere, the diamonds and sparkles are random, and it looks too much like a dress now rather than genie looking pants. Her skin used to be bronze, and extremely tan. It switched to being fair and just a bit tan. Her lip color used to be pure red to match with her tan skin and dark hair but now it is very glossy pink. Her eyes were bigger in the movie and the curve on topo, início was bigger. Her nose was bigger and didn't look western. Her hair was black instead of blueish and before it was very long, thick, and silky. Now it is long, not so thick, tamed, stringy, and just not the same. Here facial design is way different and her earrings didn't look like that. She looks too glossy just like the other redesigns and over the top. I miss her simple and exotic look.- shanyuisboss
Her hair and that she looks 14 bothers me most. She just looks like little arabian princess, she's not the one who wanted freedom in movie.- fiina
That outfit is barely similar to her outfit in the film.- jainabieber7
 That strand of hair....
That strand of hair....

3. Belle
People said Belle just generally looked different. They’ve given her a new hairdo and redone her dress. Her face is also significantly different. Belle does not look like she did in the movie, but ultimately they haven’t made such drastic changes that she made the topo, início three. That’s how bad these redesigns are.

While Belle looks mais like herself than Rapunzel and is dressed mais like herself than Pocahontas, her design bothers me much more, because it undermines the integrity of the character. The other two designs at least got the spirit right. But Belle with her "come hither" look and the strange hair has nothing to do with the smart character from the movie.- Swanpride
Her hair is longer and her face seems plastic. They ruined her natural beauty!- Popcornfan
Her hair, her face and her dress are changed- LibelluleBleau
It's a testament to how wildly innacurate these are that Belle is all the way at three
It's a testament to how wildly innacurate these are that Belle is all the way at three

2. Snow White
People said Snow White was not as bad as the others, but that she looked to old. Now, I’m assuming this is an improvement for most people, seeing as the most common complaint I see against her looks is that she looks too young, but whatever. They gave her mais curves and a mais mature face, as well as changing her iconic dress.

they made snow white curvier... she has boobs now!
her expression is different too, why are her eyes smaller and amêndoa shape?
her dress also is really brightly colored, in the movie it was pale yellow, deep royal blue and ruby red. now it is sunny yellow, bright blue and bright red. and yes her bow is different too.- girlygirlspwn
Tiana looks practically the same, Snow White's face is different in the movie, as well as the dress, the bow and the texture of the hair.- alexon31
I think they both look pretty close to what they looked like in the movie seeing as this is based on their redesigns and the redesigns are supposed to look different from the way they looked in the movie, but Tiana looks almost exactly the same as in the movie. Snow White looks different, her hair has mais texture and if you look closely at the redesign her hair is mais blue (but not as blue as in some older franchise pictures which is good, there you can see from a distance that it's blue), her lips are red, but a mais neutral shade (a reddish rosa, -de-rosa shade, again it's better than in some older franchise pictures where her lips are light pink), her dress has mais texture and she has a side bow instead of a center one and her saia is bright yellow instead of pale yellow and her skintone is slightly darker than it was in the movie (but in some older franchise pictures they've given her a tan skintone, I bought a doll of her once and when I looked at the picture of her on the box I thought "this is WAY worse than her redesign")- sweetie-94
OBviously they tried to make her look mais mature- not sure how well it worked
OBviously they tried to make her look mais mature- not sure how well it worked

1. Tiana
Tiana in first for once! The fãs said she really looked very similar, some said almost exactly the same. They have added a pattern and glitter to her dress (to be biased for a moment here, I actually think it looks really nice, better than her old design,) but in the scene where she wears the dress, it is sparkly, so some said it looked ever mais like the movie than the old design. However, some said Tiana had been given a different face.

Snow White practically looks identical, while Tiana has a completely different face- Jayden-G
The glowing of her dress is mais different from the original than Tiana's -her dress in the movie is already sparky. But Snow White's not. Also, her face is slightly different too- Popcornfan
Tiana looks exactly the same as the movie, Snow has slight differences- jainabieber7
Very good, especially compared to- the others
Very good, especially compared to- the others

And now, to leave you with a comment from Mongoose09: Wow, a countdown where Tiana & Snow White are in the topo, início two, for once.

The little Mermaid was released on November 17 1989 and is largely accredited with being the film that heralded the beginning of the disney Renaissance. With the average production time of an animated disney film being 6 years this film was developed in the height of the 80’s.

The assignment of designing the heroine Ariel was left to animator Glen Keane who would go on to animate other disney characters such as the Beast, aladdin and Tarzan. He wanted the heroine to be reminiscent of the traditional disney Princesses while at the same time being relatable to the ‘modern...

Hello! I'm giving a very short tutorial on how to make an ícone square (since I often saw many un-square icons). You don't need Photoshop or GIMP or heavy picture editors. Here I'm using link.

1. Click "Editor". Here you'll see a Photoshop-like layout.

2. Click "Open image from computer". Select your ícone or any picture you want to make square.

3. Click on the "Crop" ícone on the topo, início left of the panel. Choose "output size" on the "Constraint" dropdown. Enter 200 x 200 or whatever square size you want.

4. Drag the rato over your picture. Hit Enter.

5. Don't forget to save your square picture!
